Malaysian Airlines: Where is the Plane?
 

So, it's almost a week since it disappeared and no-one seems to have a clue where it is.

I was just reading this article http://www.theguardian.com/world/201...-west-hijacked

which suggests that the plane was likely hijacked and the two communications systems were systematically shut down and that manual intervention was the probable cause.

They also seem to think it headed back towards Europe and are now searching 1000 miles west of the original location.

So, what says you GFY? Where the fuck is the plane?

The really bizarre thing is the changes in direction.

It reached the southern tip of Thailand, before making a sharp turn to the south towards Penang, a highly urbanized and densely populated place (and apparently the hometown of one of the pilots). From there it headed northwest towards the largely uninhabited Andoman Islands, a territory of India. They're saying that India has very good air defence and radar, and that it wouldn't have remained undetected in Indian territory. And if fuel was an issue then why turn back and make the journey longer?

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the hijackers were planning a 9/11 style attack on an urban area, but the pilots or passengers talked them out of it and made off towards a remote place instead. I'm sure I'm overlooking something really obvious though :)

Would it crash into the sea without breaking into bits. Surely there would be suitcases and bodies and papers everywhere. Not to mention a bloody great big boeing.

The media has been reporting that it may have ran out of fuel and crashed in the Indian Ocean, but that seems unlikely given the original flight path. Plus they add an extra hour of fuel or enough to reach two other airports, whichever is greater.

The plane could have made it to India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Oman (which neighbors the terrorist hotbed of Yemen). Maybe the far southern tip of Saudi Arabia also (US intelligence leaks say the Saudi government funded 9/11). The possibility that they refueled somewhere and continued on can't be ruled out either. Another possibility is rogue employees filled the tank up in Malaysia.

Where they are at depends on what the end motive is.

There's the problem right there.

you make a good theory but this is a Boeing 777 we are talking about, not a small object like a briefcase they are hiding. For landing you need a large airport, with an airport you have people. Lets be honest, All terrorist groups have been infiltrated at some point. Something would have leaked by now.

I just don't buy in to it having landed on land.

Why hijack a plane and have the world looking for it when you could buy a disused soviet-era plane from a communist country?

We have abducted it, it will be back again next week once we've finished making some minor changes.

It it won't be found there will be some serious conspiracy theories.

It was hijacked.

They landed in Male, Maldives. (Perfect isolated location - with sympathetic people on the ground).

From there, I don't know where they took it.

But that plane will be seen again... probably re-purposed and used as a delivery system for weapons of mass destruction.
