I was looking for free hosting so i found revshare hosting,then i found cozyfrog board,asked is this real thing,answered how it is and that's it.

I told someone about my great idea to earn money from the internet....my idea was shit, but he told me about adult business...and slowly i started, with different stations and mistakes, but in the end it worked!

I started with a celebrity site as a hobby for myself, taught myself HTML and some level of design with photoshop. The site became popular and I was paying $1000-1500.00 in bandwidth per month out of my own pocket. I then changed it over to a membership site to help pay the bandwidth bill, from there I just followed the money.

I did not get into any of this to "become rich" per se. I just wanted a decent living and to work for myself.

started back in 1999 with friends doin adult personal ads. i took off, went into security consulting. helped them with their adult sites in between consulting gigs. i retired an pulled the 1999 domain off the parking page. 14 years later im bck in the adult biz.

I wasn't trying to get rich. After Hurricane Marilyn destroyed my mainstream photo/video business, I decided the best thing was to pursue opportunities that did not rely on a local customer base and so turned my new Internet porn hobby into a business...

Still rolling with the punches, but also eyeing more mainstream photo/video work again (even though I know better)

One thing you need to do is be very careful who you partner with. You wouldn't want to end up in a position where you've helped build a multi million dollar company and have a buddy/boss screw you in the end.

The only way to get rich in this business is to have some good ideas and know how to build out and market them yourself.

In 93 working with a company in LA that was doing phone sex, and we picked up an online content delivery system from Virtual Dreams Inc. In 94 we got a merchant account from First Bank of Beverly Hills, and they gave us a POS machine. People would BBS their card numbers to us and someone would punch them into the machine, and we would BBS back a password. Got out of the business in 96 to run a big call center in Iowa, then moved to Miami in 99 and started with a billing company as online billing had now become automated. The company went down in 02 and I started my own company at that point. Had various partnerships with alternative billing projects, built and sold a Check21 business, and still have my company today. Only about 15% of my revenues are in adult these days, but I still have a ton of friends in this business.

Payments is an interesting world right now. I was trying to accept payments in Brasil, you have to actually have a business there to get cybersource to settle payments there. England is the same way. The new thing is currency control.

I started with BBS -> then Newsgroups in the mid-90's, then bought a bunch of content and started a series of AVS sites under Adult Check and Validate.

By 1999, I had a fairly established and popular adult site that the Models and Playmates were mentioning everywhere, from the Glamourcon's to appearances on Stern, from guest hostesses mention us on Entertainment Tonight to an E! show at the time called "Wild On" giving us mentions from their guest hostesses.

That site is still going strong to this day. Of course, we've since branched out in several other areas and diversified revenues along the way.

There's still a lot of good people to work with in this industry, and some very smart entrepreneurs. And you can still make a comfortable living -- and doing it honestly ;)

I've been here for over fifteen years. I've been so lucky - I've always made really good money, lived well, just bought a vacation house... Life is great.

I'm still making money, life is sweet. Don't see this changing any time soon.

We had no master plan or money-making aspirations - it was just a novelty hobby to do at the time.

But we were caught off-guard. Much to our surprise it caught fire rather quickly. Within a matter of weeks we were exceeding the 2gb/day bandwidth allowance with our free hosting (GoCasino). They notified us they were giving us the boot.

So we shifted gears, switched hosting...reformated to a paysite. Soon after we expanded with our own bondage photography - launched a second site, then a third...and a fourth.

I always thought I had heard you voice before. lol My goal wasnt to be rich , it was to make a decent living without an asshole boss and I get to hang out with my wife. When we started if you told me I would make my living doing this I would laughed. It was like a goof that started to make money.
