A True Life-Altering Experience

On Friday evening I participated in a Yaje Ceremony and my world has changed.

Yaje, as it's called in Colombia (it's called Ayahuasca in other countries) is a prepared brew made from plants found in the Amazon by Shaman. http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayahuasca

I was with about 25 people, including my cousin. About half (including us) were first-time participants. The total ceremony lasted about 12 hours, until dawn on Saturday morning. About an hour after ingesting the brew, I had visions explaining why I was here on earth. I still can't describe the process - it's something one must experience for themselves. I was raised Catholic and it's been years since I've been in a church. I've called myself atheist, certainly never spiritual, but all that has changed.

I feel clarity and purpose and truly reborn.

Most people reading this will think I'm nuts or was just hallucinating, and that's okay - that's your path. But if I can help one person to try this experience, then my time has been well spent.

One last thing - the spiritual aspect is very important - so choosing the Shaman is the most important part. There are a lot of under-trained Shamans out there with bad intentions. Mine came from here: http://http://ayamlove.org/

His name is Ramon Orlando and he comes from Cali, Colombia and travels the world performing ceremonies. Contact him if you want to see things in a different light.

so why are you here on earth?

RandyRandy 11-25-2013 07:55 AM

To be one with my brothers and sisters, because we are all part of each other.

Congrats. I know a few people that have had very positive, trans-formative experiences, but not for the faint of heart or the closed mind that is for sure.

I once did shrooms and robo tripped at the same time... while I was royallying tripping I smoked a big rip of salvia... I seriously had the most crazy experience ever where i died and was reborn 'with memories from inside the womb' and I feel like I am in a new life ever since... but while I was unborn I could touch other concsiousnesses and instantly feel their emotions and memories. The feeling wont go away and its been like 8 years now.

That's a good one.

I had a doozie once where I went back and relived all my past lives (100s of them) in fast forward, feeling all their feelings, good and bad, seeing their life and taking note if it was used in a positive productive way or not, life after life, all the way back to the very birth of my soul. It was intense. Sounds a lot like what you had, in terms of emotion.

Humans don't have souls. These things are altering your mind.

I knew you would understand. It was very taxing, especially the purging - which is very important. It was truly a priceless gift.

One of my "bucket list" items is a trip to peru for an Ayahuasca ceremony. More people need their head cracked open.

Please be very careful in choosing the Shaman. The Ayahuasca scene in Iquitos, Peru has become very commercialized and there are a lot of "fake" Shamans running around. I can tell you the Shaman and his helpers are very important to the entire process. Don't select one as part of a package. Contact my guy - he'll give you a reference.

I don't mind them anymore - they remind me of my own shortcomings. Obstacles that I place in front of myself. Easy to overcome once recognized.

You sound like half the people who did acid for the first time.

BlackCrayon 11-25-2013 06:14 PM

so does that mean you're going to stop using and abusing cheap columbian whores? :winkwink:

Ego death can bring light from corners you never knew you had. would like to recommend a book if you have a couple of days to look inward.
Amazing experience none the less......

bronco67 11-25-2013 08:32 PM

I definitely want to participate in something like that someday. My wife is cool with a lot of things, but this one might take some convincing. I'll still go regardless of what she thinks, but I'd rather have her feeling positive about me leaving the country to trip balls on Ayahuasca.

Where did the Ceremony take place? Had you ever taken mind altering drugs before?

I don't know if I could handle a mind altering experience, I'd hate to freak out. How long was the high?

I consider myself an atheist but TBH I'd love to believe in anything other than my current thoughts. I'm open minded enough to understand that how our brains view the world, reality, the universe etc is only one way of doing so.

BlackCrayon asked you a good question. After your spiritual enlightenment will you as an evil old gringo continue to exploit young poverty stricken Colombian girls for your own selfish physical pleasure or will you now spend your life bettering the lives of 'your brothers and sisters'?

InfoGuy 11-25-2013 11:14 PM

To reflect your reborn spirit are you going to be change your avatar from horns to a halo?

freecartoonporn 11-26-2013 12:10 AM

Do you feel pain in the asshole ?

John-ACWM 11-26-2013 02:08 AM

Hard to understand for someone that didn't experience something like that.

Choopa_Pardo 11-26-2013 08:00 AM

Ayahuasca and DMT... FASCINATING.

Irony of ironies, the event, run by a Colombian Shaman, didn't take place in Colombia, but in Brooklyn. I've been reading about this for a couple of years and just never found the right place in Colombia. This Shaman, Ramon Orlando travels throughout the world on these tours. He's the real deal and can be found hereayamlove.org

The only drugs I've done before this is pot and coke. The ceremony lasted 11 hours and I had visions for about 6 hours, though hard to keep track of time. I felt in a safe environment because of the Shaman and his helpers - I don't think they would have let anyone freak out. About midway through they offered us more yaje, but I declined. About half of the group took more.

You sound just like me. I considered myself an atheist, but open to anything. I am no longer an atheist, but I'm still reconciling what's out there.

Paul - if I can help you in any way with more information, please don't hesitate to ask.

You and Black Crayon bring up very valid points. Even before this experience, I had a hard time reconciling whether I was taking advantage of the women I used for my own pleasure and then later turned into a small business. I rationalized it by only paying women who were already in the sex business, paying them well and always treating them with respect. Every model I've worked with always wants to work with me again and I got a text message last night from a model saying her sister wanted to work with me as well the next time.

So to answer your question, I don't know. I may have a business opportunity in a different field - I'll know by Christmas if I'm going to do it or not. This experience may have swayed me towards that opportunity, rather than continue in porn.

Part of what I purged on Friday was arrogance. I'm hardly an angel, do the avatar will remain for now.
