I'm donating the money I make today to the CT shooting families
 

I'm blown away and saddened by yesterday's shooting. I want to donate anything I make today to the families, the school, whatever it takes to at least send them some cash. They will never recover fully... at least I wouldn't.

I'm not sure who to send to but I'm sure we can come up with something.

I just read that again. I'm starting a fund thread, send money to those families. It's not the money actually, it is the gesture. The cards, the sympathy... but the money is always needed. What do you think they will talk about at the next council meeting?

Money will not make them feel better, or bring their kids back. Too many fundraisers started by pornographers end up as scams. I'm not insinuating that this is what's happening here.

Ask anyone who has ever worked with me... I really took this shooting to heart. I'd like to find a way where this will never happen again. You want to protect your kids and when you send them to school you think you are...

If you want to help them contact the biggest church in the town and send the money to them. Demand that they buy food made for these people and send it over. Or demand that the money be used to do things like their laundry or help substitute lost income from not working etc.


Basics get really hard to do when slammed with this sort of loss.

I think people saying money won't help are forgetting funeral costs for starters, I don't their situation or anything obviously. But it will probably help in some way or another.

Perhaps funeral costs, maybe flowers, a memorial or things like that.

I read news develop as my 10 year old just finished a schook project and was really excited about it. Iam by my work and she is at schook where I always trusted she was safe.

I wouldn't necessarily say money is not needed by any of the families. Funerals are expensive and not everyone is prepared to pay for one.

What makes you thinks they need your cash? They lost their kids, retard, how do money factor into it?

I don't care if it is self motivated [which its not], your still giving money to those who will need it. Surely there will be depression along with the loss, that tends to lead to time off and inactivity which leads to less income. This will help regardless of the intent.

In The US, are the funerals like this, not covered by the state?

Example: I unfortunately lost a grandchild at birth this year, in the UK... The hospital paid all the funeral expenses.

Is this not the case in the USA? Serious question...
