Wow !

A few months back that guy was features on The Chive website. He was still in the hospital then and was just starting to get his prosthetic limbs. The owners of the site talked to his then girlfriend now wife to find out if they needed anything. She told them his story and what he dreamed of. He got hit with a roadside bomb in Iraq and had all four limbs blown off. Amazingly he was still conscious after it happened, saw another bomb and yelled at his fellow soldiers to warn them to not come after him or they would be blown up too. They were able to dismantle then bomb and get to him.

He had always dreamed of coming home, marrying her and then buying log cabin by the lake, but needed about $30K to put a down payment on it. The Chive put up a post and let those who wanted to donate for him to get the cabin. They hoped to help him with a chunk of the down payment. Within two days they had raised over $250K for him.

The guys is an amazing dude and deserves every penny of it if you ask me.
