On tv show "extra" they just showed a segment of the girls gone wild founder...he's 29, has a personal jet and a ferrari, and they said he is worth 100 million. Not bad

As you know, most of the multi-millionaires in this industry were rich before they got into the game.

yeah, they didnt specify. of course im sure if the guy had told them he was worth 500 million, they would have taken his word for it(their a step above the tabloids)

but considering how long GGW has been around and the kind of brand they have built with the mainstream audience, it wouldnt suprise me if he was worth 100 million.

no - he made it all from GGW. i read a big article about him recently in a mainstream media article - i **think** it was the LA Times but i can't find it right now....

I might believe that the whole Girls Gone Wild videos have made $100 million in revenue, but there is a difference between revenue and profit. I doubt he has $100 million in his bank account.

I dont agree or disagree but I learned a long time ago that its hard to figure out whats revenue whats profit someones got, how many times have you seen business go belly up that you thought are raking in extreme profits etc. you never know what and how else revenue comes into that biz or what expenses are really involved etc.

robf, i seem to remember that about his parents...but i believe he did make it on his own. the article i read talked about a GGW video he has shot with Eminem that is coming out, and as already mentioned some sort of GGW movie ala Porkies or American Pie...

That's not totally true. The fact that your parents have money and success means more than just what they give you financially. It also relates to what you grew up believing was possible from your life. It means, too, that you had certain opportunities that people with different lives did not have.

I'm not saying that GGW or Bill Gates don't deserve respect for what they've done, but you have to realize that things do have context.

$93 million revenue off of video sales, at $20 a pop, thats 4,650,000 videos sold last year
that seems high to me...but assuming that was their sales, you have to assume that their sales is on a down trend....which means they have sold so much more in previous years

but if that figure is true, this guy has to be worth more than 100 mil, unless he pissed it all away or lost alot in the market
