If ROMNI WINS, he's going to CENSOR PORN forever...
I wonder what adult webmaster can be so IDIOT to vote for ROMNI...
If the guy wins, he will censor your own INDUSTRY. Even if you are a right-wing republican TEXAN that has 40 weapons and supports capital punishment, you can't be so naive and dumb to vote for that FAKE guy that will go against your own job. Just sayin... PAIRIODO. |
Mind explaining how he will accomplish that?

Very easy to do: bring prosecutions charging both obscenity and 2257 violations.
Even if you beat the obscenity charges, you are looking at 5 to 10 years mandatory for the 2257 violations. 2257 violations are some type of an administrative violation so there is no pleading not guilty if your records are not perfect. Your guilt is self evident. So why fight the obscenity charges if you are looking at 5 to 10 years anyways; just plead out and get the best deal you can. A guilty verdict for obscenity allows the gov't to seize your assets related to the business. The scenario is a win/win for the government. They will bring charges, many cases won't go to trial, and, through seizures, they put adult companies out of business and get a pot load of cash to fund future prosecutions. Just my best guess.... |

He won't win.

^To be fair, Republicans are more fuckable these days. |

It isn't about porn -- it is a twisted sense of righteousness that comes from being able to sling buzz words around. They are targeting a largely legal business that does bring in a good amount of tax dollars, has a lot of employees in many different facets and doesn't destroy the environment. Most of us here follow the 2257 regulations. Don't target fraud, or the lavish waste of taxpayer dollars... target a legit industry. Now, you know that internet-thing is responsible for all the porn, and the cable tv industry. Those will also both have to be severely regulated to control the evil porn. What's next? Taxation for not going to church on Sunday?
This is the very first time in over 30 years that I am going to miss a presidential election - only because I won't be in the states in time to vote and I missed the deadline to vote absentee. Do I miss the circus? Not for a moment. Sad that it has again turned to slinging mud instead of putting people back to work. I am still very glad to be an ex-pat. |
People need to understand that a president is not the king. They actually don't have a lot of power.

Romis likes Pornis just like Obamis :2 cents: They are all naturalis.

Porn isn't everything from double anal and beyond. It starts with people doing sexy stuff. They can be fully clothed. It's about creating an illusion. If a line is drawn that says no genitalia, the softcore market will boom and NO ONE except in countries we don't care about will ever get a conviction. How any one draws the line is totally beyond me. I know I'm a dumb know nothing addled brain old timer. But I remember when porn was illegal and there was no Internet. Porn was a wonderful business to be in and very very lucrative. Imagine selling a 1 hour tape for $40 250 to 1,000 times. From your home and having a catalogue of 100s of them. Astral Blue. If Romney can achieve the impossible and ban online porn. I would support him and go buy some new cameras. :thumbsup :1orglaugh |

Poot... your sites! . |
Well, not to be a contrarian or anything, but having been around as long as I have one thing I can say is that conservative sabre rattling about porn has usually actually had the opposite effect on business... Sure, some convictions happen, and that sucks, but usually consumption and prices both go up. Lay of the land, law of the land, and we all signed up for it being like that to work in the US.
During the Reagan onslaught with Meese and Keating... porn exploded accordingly. Also... Take Utah for example - harsh laws, high consumption... I still dislike Romney just on principle, because he apparently has none, and not happy with Obama either as he has cost me dearly, but just pointing out that all these politicians that cater to the Moral Majority etc just end up benefiting the adult industry usually in the long run. |

I've been in the business since 1973. I've seen it change from 8/16mm films to Bluray and streaming. But, one constant has been the existence of groups like the American Family Association, Citizens for Decency Through Law and Citizens Against Pornography. They preach from the pulpit that pornograph is equated to crime, child pornography, human trafficking and sexual addiction. These groups are not your friends.
Folks, just because they are currently out of power doesn't mean that they aren't thinking about us and plotting our demise. Gov. Romney is their horse in this race and he will consider their desires if he wins. He has already signed their pledge to fight porn; and, they will try and hold him to it. Romney is pretty scary especially if it is true that he has chosen Judge Bork to lead his judicial advisory committee. This committee will be recommending attorneys to appoint as the leaders of the DOJ for the next presidential term and they will be very hostile if they have the Bork stamp of approval. That you can bet on. Quote:
Do I think the government would use a combination of obscenity and 2257 to go after the industry? I don't know; but, the scenario is feasible. |
Voting against your own business interests is just plain stupid -- are you planning a career change? |
Quote:
2257. Keep the records and you're fine. They would need to go after the processors and that's a tall order. Obscenity and 2257 laws don't apply to the rest of the world. Is he going to start blocking domains? :1orglaugh TBH it's all hot air and we've heard it so many times. |
If you vote solely for your business interests, no matter what side you are on or who you are voting for.... then in my opinion, you lose the right to have an opinion about anything political other than how it relates directly to your business interests. When N Korea sells nukes to the Taliban and a bomb goes off in Paris, when we end up in Afghanistan for the next 20 years, when Pakistan nukes India, when Social Security collapses, when the economy continues to be sluggish, when job growth slows and stops and goes backwards, when education continues to decline, when college continues to get insanely expensive, when health care costs are out of control, when oil prices sky rocket etc etc etc etc etc just be happy that you voted for your business and remember that nothing else concerns you, your children's future or the nation because you a simplistic, selfish and short sighted dipshit.

I'll help you fix that :thumbsup Romney campaign quietly promised ‘vigorous’ porn crackdown, Reagan prosecutor says Bob Flores, another former Justice Department official who prosecuted pornographers, accompanied Trueman to an hour-long meeting with Romney foreign and legal policy director Alex Wong, Trueman said. “Wong assured us that Romney is very concerned with this, and that if he’s elected these laws will be enforced,” Trueman told TheDC. ”They promised to vigorously enforce federal adult obscenity laws.” Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/18/ro...#ixzz29qWL8D7I The Obscenity Police Are Coming “I don’t really want to go to jail,” Stagliano says. “I’ve got a two-year-old son. And I have a daughter, as well. I don’t think she’d like that either.” In 2007, Romney swore that if he were elected president, he would put a porn filter on every computer. Read more: http://www.forbes.com/sites/susannah...t-romney-porn/ Could Romney Really Ban Porn? Legally speaking, porn isn’t protected by the First Amendment. The Supreme Court gave porn prosecutors a present in Miller v. California (1973), declaring that “patently offensive” material that appeals to prurient interests must confirm to contemporary “community standards.” The ability of a particularly squeamish community to ban porn was once confined to certain geographical locations, but, as the Electronic Frontier Foundation warns, the Internet reaches all communities, and at least one previous court held this to mean that content should conform to the community “most likely to be offended by the message.” “I think they would probably prosecute”, Flynt said, of Romney’s potential attorney general, but he isn’t worried, “they have nothing to do with the success of the prosecution.” Read more: http://techcrunch.com/2012/07/24/cou...ally-ban-porn/ ____________________________________________ So to sum it up Article 1 - Romney has had meetings with people who have literally been called the morality police from the Reagan administration.... and has made promises to make cracking down on porn and enforcement of vague/assanine obscenity laws a top priority. Article 2 - John fucking Stagliano is fucking worried. But "Baddog" on GFY is not. Who the fuck do I trust? Article 3 - The scenario presented in article 1 and the concern expressed from industry VETS are legitimate. A crackdown on porn from Mitt is completely plausible and likely A Republican voting pornographer is about the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard of in my life. And my sources are from 2 RIGHT LEANING Sites! THE FUCKING MAINSTREAM MEDIA!!!!!! AMIRITE? |
Here's a novel fucking thought: How about voting for someone who doesn't believe that Porn contributes to the downfall of society?
|
I hear these radio commercials every day paid for by Obama groups talking about how he is pro gay marriage. I look at it the same as that. Romney talks shit about porn to secure votes from old ladies. Obama says he'll allow gays to marry to secure the vote of people like epitome. At the end of the day they are laughing and we're all arguing like dumb asses.

The biggest problems in this country is not who's in office or who is President. The biggest problems are a lack of identity, a lack of a sense of who we are and what we stand for. A lack of what it means to be American. A growing disdain for success and successful people. A growing sense of entitlement and waning sense of accountability among an increasingly dumber population. The list of "Whats wrong" is huge and it has nothing to do with Obama or Romney. It has to do ironically, with the people that will vote for them. Empires die when values attitudes change. |

Because I would love to know where people don't vote for their own business interests. Whatever the business is, collecting a check from Social Security or running a billion dollar company. Most vote for their own business interests. Young. They might go after a few extreme guys with obscenity laws. Once they touch 95% of US porn they will be pilloried. Do you reckon Mr Stagliano is just anti Romney? And so what if he does, porn will still exist. Unless he plans to shut down domains. So it will mean he will be a bigger laughing stock than he could ever hope. People can still log into Pornhub and watch what ever they like. Host offshore, not be American and you're in the clear. I have a spare room if anyone's interested. $400 a week and you can use your computer. :1orglaugh There I go begging for money. Sorry to make this thread the joke it is. :thumbsup |
