I have a friend of mine who thinks Apple is better than everything else in the world. Everything he owns, his computers, cell phones, etc, is all MAC. He was telling me how their new operating system can hook up his calendar to his cell phone. Neato - But using Google calendar and my Android my wife and I have been doing this for years now... We were in a bar the other day and he was pissy that he couldn't get a single. I have never ever EVER not been able to get a single on my cell phone. Ever.

That's the problem with really diehard Mac people. They live in such a bubble they no idea of what else is going on. I've been in the same situation, having some Mac fanboy showing me what his iPhone can do, and I'm like, "ok, my phone can do that too --and it also can do this, this and this..."

It is more about intellectual property theft. Korea is as bad or worse as China for stealing technology. Ask, Japanese tech companies, Nokia and just about any hi-tech company in US or EU.

Warner Bros pulled out of Korea for dvd production some time ago because the companies making the discs were also pirating the discs. Many tech companies have left Korea and many refuse to work for them due to same issue.

No big fan of Apple here but they have a right to protect their investment in R&D. Also, a US Court apparently disagrees with the OP.

Actually if I remember correctly Nokia actually was the first to have that style of phone.

won't affect samsung much. It's about the S2 and similar models before the S2. The S3 is out now and that isn't being banned, nor the Note. Plus i think the younger generation looks at this as a powertrip of Apple, so in clonclusion I don't think Apple will benefit much from it.

I'll admit I was anti-apple for a long time and was an andoid dude. Finally said fuck it and picked up a 4S a while ago to see what all the gayness was about. Like the look of it, runs flawless with no crashes which I used to experience occasionally on android. The picture is not really clear but thats Samsung's version of the MacBook Air originally called the Series 9, now called Series 5 ChromeBook. Point is no one was making an ultra thin notebook until Apple and again everyone copies them.

There's no such thing as a "version of a MacBook Air". A MacBook Air is simply a version of laptop. They are both laptops. What do you expect a laptop to look like if redundant elements of it are removed and component parts get smaller? You expect them to fill the space up with sand and keep it the same size and weight as before?

It has nothing to do with Apple. Any more than the fact our phones aren't the size of bricks is to do with a single company, or that we don't use huge CRT monitors any more.

As I demonstrated in my previous post, IBM and Compaq (and others) had laptops with a certain design before Apple used the same design. Does that mean Apple "copied" IBM and Compaq, or just that that's what laptops happened (and had) to look like due to constraints on technology and component size at the time?

Despite the fact that's how it works with everything else, Apple, and its fanboys, try and claim that what Apple does is somehow magical and should be protected.

I really don't understand idiots who defend what Apple is doing. It's quite obviously a Bad Thing for consumers, including Apple customers. Less competition = higher prices and less innovation and advancement. Why do you think that's a good thing?

That happens to many. Apple's products run flawlessly and have excellent user interfaces, the devices run seamlessly together and their support, online and retail stores are incredible.

These are the reasons why Apple has become the largest company in the world.

PC and Droid users can whine all they want. My neighbor's new Samsung phone crashed 3x the other night at our house when he was showing us some videos. He swore Monday morning he was heading to the Apple store to get an iphone, which he did. Apple simply works!
