I did offered them and they reject it,seems they buying only tubes and paysites.Seems that was good since i tripled my income since then ;)I find it funny how they dont know to manage other types of sites.

i doubt the public GFY opinion matters to someone who gets an offer that allows him to retire

I think everyone would sell their company if the price is right regardless of who the buyer is. Even those who strongly disagree with their business model or practices would sell to them if it was an offer they could not refuse, especially in today's climate.

They are going to end up owning everything anyway so it's all pretty pointless at this point. They are like The Borg.

Recently had a meeting with another manager here @ DTI. Been with the co. 10 years plus.

I think any program would if offered the right multiple in this environment. Just a matter of which programs would sell for like 6 months of rebills, and which would hold out for 1 or 2 years rebills.

I am more interested to see what things will look like 3 -4 yrs down the road.
Successfully managing all of these these programs, people, offices, content, billing, traffic etc and paying back these loans is huge logistical challenge. All the while they are constantly acquiring new stuff along the way. Time will tell, is this a smashing success or massive train wreck? Sounds like so far , so good - at least from the outside looking in.

Well I run two programs www.GirlieCash.com and www.BittieBucks.com as well as out content business www.TrashyContent.com and I personally would never sell our company, but then I have two business partners so it wouldn't be my decision ultimitly... :Oh crap

But like someone said I guess everything as a price... I guess it just depends if a buyer ever met my valuation of what I believe our business is worth...

As a broker of sites and programs, I am pretty sure if I told a client, "hey, I have someone that wants to buy, but it is Manwin," the response would be the same as if I told them it was you. They would sell.

Never had someone give me the condition of who not to sell it to.

straight up, my answer is no. if i ran cookie cutter sites with non exclusive content then sure, but considering the years i put into projects, the risks taken, personal crap thats likely meaningless to other people etc nah i wouldnt sell out to anyone. call it a vain but no i couldnt give up the wheel

but nobody, including Manwin pays enough that i'd sell for 2 years profits - whether it was 2000 dollars in profits or 2 million. UNLESS i had some other business venture/investment I needed the capital for.

That's an interesting question. I've turned down more than one opportunity because I don't do business with people lacing in ethics. (At least not knowingly.) On the other hand, if they decided to do some vertical integration, which would be the next logical step for them, it would be hard to turn down an offer that would let me semi-retire at 36 years old.

I suspect for the right price I'd have two conditions that would cleanly separate me from them. I walk away clean, rather than say becoming a Manwin employee for a year of transition, and they clearly brand it so webmasters know they are buying from Manwin, not from me. Then webmasters could decide if they wanted to buy Manwin Strongbox or Manwin Throttlebox

For a low 6-figure amount I'd sell them my complete portfolio of domains and my entire blackhat operation, and GFY would never see me again.

If Manwin offered a solid $50million the yes.

Of course, anything is for sale. I would want to stay in the industry though. So I would only sell with conditions as I could take the money and start fresh in adult again, or I would have a job waiting with Manwin.

I would sell for the right price, but 10 months sales figures wouldn't cut it, way too cheap for a solid business that nets good profit year after year... that the one flaw with adult sites, sale value is not worth selling.

The 6mo-12mo is just tossed around as a basic figure. Can also be directed more towards freesites or sites without exclusive content. No one with a stable business would go for that unless they are flat out desperate. The dynamics of a real sale are much more complicated than a simple multiple. How the content has already been monetized, the organic traffic it receives, shelf life on the content, value of the domain(s), the hunger of the seller/buyer and many other tangible selling points. Personally I'd have to hear offers in YEARS to even look up. Then again we're still growing and 1 yr + ahead on produced exclusive content.

I think they already did, and spent the money too.
