How many affiliate webmasters here make close to $100k a year just from pushing sites? Any still here doing this you think?

Been clearing that in adult every year since I started in adult in 07.

I don't think it's possible.

I think doing easy stuff like posting to TGPs etc. you're not going to make much. You need to have a network of sites built up, and be constantly refining and adjusting (to sponsors who are not going out of business if nothing else)

Roald, you're doing that in 1 month... no in 3 weeks...

Its a lot easier than most think if they would just pay attention to what they are doing.

If i could make 1/4 of that in adult it would change my life.

There are people posting 1000s of joins per day with AFF so must be making way more than that.

There are hundreds of affiliates doing that, and many make well over that per month....and MUCH more, but like someone said, they generally keep quiet. The internet is getting bigger and bigger, there is more money to be made than ever before.

Now if you are using the same methods you did in 2002, you'll have a tough time. BMW had great success with the 1988 325. Yet they continually change, update and modify their products. If they had just kept making that exact same model every year from then until now, they wouldn't be doing very well with it I'd imagine. 2c

Say average sale is worth around $27 (between $25 and $30) just for convenience. That breaks down to 10 sales a day.

Ask yourself: What do I need to do to make 10 sales a day?

Someone will point out that this is only gross. True. You'll need to adjust the numbers as expenses come in. It's a starting point.

In the old days I used to meet a few affiliates who definitely gave the impression they were up in that bracket. Today in adult, I think there are still a few, Roald for one. For two, well that's a guessing game.

The amount of traffic on the big Tubes logically shows where the traffic is and we know they are not owned by single affiliates. More likely companies.

Sly as you said it's gross. What are the expenses to get 10 sales a day? Or can it still be done taking everything from sponsors with no staff?

6 figures income a year used to be easy in porn, definitely for shooters. Still as Roald says, the good days are over.

There used to be this one guy that reached 100k, but I heard he retired and is spending his days posting walls of text on a big adult webmaster forum...

I have affiliates that make $100k with me alone off of non-purchased traffic. And they promote other programs as well.

There is too much "if I can't do it, nobody can" attitude floating around.

There is tons of money out there to be gotten. Excuses will only hold one back.

There are still many people making way more than that.

I did for 1 maybe 2 years but not even close these days - I know how to do it, I just have the attention span of a goldfish...

Today I was going to go all out and really put some effort in - 5 minutes later I was staring at the new Olympic park on Google earth.

So you really think there were only some affiliates making 100k/yr in "the old days", and today, you think only people like Roald are doing that? Do you see how much that says?

In the content game if you could sell to magazines it wasn't that hard. Loads of us made that money. Remember I had a large studio with 4 shooters, plus the office staff. Squealer thought I was broke because I didn't drive a fancy car or live in a big house. :upsidedow

A decent set = $3,000 Cost for the day, absolute tops $1,000 here.

Do the maths, it's 50 sets a year. Between 2000 to 2008 we shot 2,000. Plus some videos. The good thing was online sales, remember the days when non exclusive was saturated? Means we sold the scene a lot of times. Why do you think we never bothered chasing sponsors for custom work? There was a lot more money elsewhere for shooters who could tap into it.

We put the money away. I could see the graph for porn, knew I wasn't getting younger. Not buying big flash cars and huge houses made sense. :thumbsup

I'm sure a big program like yours will have a few big guys. But let's face it the gold rush days are gone.

It's not hard to do. You just need to put in the years of work which pay less.
