Kim dotcom bail was granted
|
I doubt it. I'm sure the US has eyes on him.
|
bail should be granted this is how the system works.
in the end he will walk, theyve already destroyed the investigation and mishandled much of it. it will cost him the site and lots of money but he isnt going to prison |
run where? he's in New Zealand... he would need a plane that does long distances and picks him up outside an official airport

I don't mind him not going to jail, as long as they shut down the sites and take everything he accumulated through pirating. Job well done!
|
If he had 1/8 of the brains that it took to build that empire then he also has a boat load of money stashed and could easily use it to take off. That Boat that was in the back ground of some of those photos could easily be used to cross the world.

this is not about my opinion of whether he is guilty or should be hung, this is about how justice system works and how when they mess up investigations, he will walk. oj supposedly killed someone and walked, you dont think a guy who ran a upload service will walk? he is already out and will probably never set foot in a jail again, at least for this crime. |

do you really think he can move without cameras and reporters swarming him? everyone spends so much time on the computer here they fail to realize he is a household name now.

you need to look up New Zealand on a map and educate yourself about airspace regulations |

He's a pirate internet guy, not a leader of a failed nation or some oil tycoon. He may be rich (if they didn't seize it all) but he's not rich to the point he's above the law and has friends in high ranking government jobs who can makes calls for him and make his troubles go away. He can skip and be a fugitive forever and live a shitty life. Or he can face the music and maybe walk free. Either way, if he wasn't smart enough to hide some funds, he's ass out. |

He can't run, he has no $

If you have cash there is always a way. He could pay someone 500k for a boat ride at night to an island and go into hiding. I don't know if they are going to place a ankle monitor on him or not. I know where New Zealand is and there are many islands in the area.
Porn Jew thank you once again for being very good member of GFY. We bow to your knowledge and insults. :321GFY |
"Dotcom was released without any monetary bail bond, which is standard for cases that come before New Zealand's district courts."

He must be a good swimmer.

megaupload was not profitable from day 1...it took time to build but one day to destroy...wait until all the hard work the pirates put in gets turned off daily... for all I care it does not even have to bring back the golden days of porn...just seeing the pirates suffer will be amusement enough to me... |

Run? I doubt he can even walk fast.

its the beginning of the end for profitable piracy....kim.com was the last of his kind...its all downhill form now...like the VHS tapes... |

No such thing as the last of his kind. Thieves have been around since the beginning of time.
New thieves will take his place and they will do it better and smarter and we will have to come up with new ways to stop them. |
Assuming his pompous spending display of stolen royalties got him into this mess ... Think of the money he is costing fellow pirates.
. |
the question is... will he get his money back?
