The Matrix vs Inception
As both of these movies sported insane and complex ideas, which of them blew your mind more? Not that either are truly believable but which do you lean towards as being more possible than the other?
Personally, I think The Matrix took a more delusional mind to come up with but there is something about the idea of Inception that makes me lean towards liking it more... |
Matrix 2+3 kind of ruined it, so i go with Inception
|
inception is more bad ass
|
Inception over here too.
|
Inception hands down
Actually just saw it again last night (well half of it), gonna finish/restart it toniight |
the Matrix when it came out and Inception now...the Matrix these days just seems cheesy as hell
|
Matrix 1 was awesome. 2 and 3, not so much.
Inception I think was better. |
Matrix when it first came out was a lot more mind blowing, was also a lot younger. Inception more or less sucked.
|
Neither :pimp
|
The first Matrix movie.
|
First Matrix was much better than Inception imo.
|
Inception FTW.
I've watched that shit like 5 times again since its been all over the HBO. Love that movie. |
Matrix #1 on VHS, for when it was release was huge. Inception didn't capture the same emotion, since I have seen movies like Matrix that have come afterwards.
|
Should of made this a pole but seriously people Matrix is more ground breaking, bad ass, and creative.
I think some people here just have a man crush on DiCaprio (Admit it, it's o.k.) :winkwink: |
Inception
|
"I know Kung Fu"
|
Inception stole its concept from Scrooge McDuck...

i'd go with matrix, but both are great ideas
|
The idea of the Matrix was simple. We all live inside a computer.
The idea of Inception was complex: Change behaviours by invading their dreams, or dreams within dreams, or dreams within dreams within dreams. Add how the rules of the outside world affect dreams, the differences in time (time dilation?), the rules of physics, etc etc. |
Matrix. Jacob's Ladder. Bladerunner.
All deal with the nature of reality. Of the Inception and Matrix....I like Matrix best. Inception 2 and 3.....could be very lame so I won't hold it against Matrix. |
Inception was cool, it wasn't "mind blowing" in the slightest bit. Yeah sure it had an open end that left you guessing, but that doesn't make it mind blowing.
Matrix was like "holy fucking shit this is insane and I cannot believe what I'm seeing how did the person come up with this". ... So my answer is Matrix. |

Hard to say, matrix 1 was really TOP then, inception is top too but still dont know... Quote:

Primer is better than both and it cost 7 grand to make. That's 7,000 dollars.
It's about time travel gone horribly wrong and did not need big ass special effects to be mind blowing. |
matrix is real

Matrix. It has deeper spiritual symbolism...
|
For sheer impact on the movie-going world the Matrix wins hands down. It was huge in it's day. Like legendary huge. Inception is big today, but it's impact really pales by comparison.
Having seen all movies involved I'd have to say while I enjoyed Inception, The Matrix has had a far greater lasting effect on me, as in it's made me think more about it and the complex plot issues. |
Inception :)
|
I vote for Kung Fu Panda 1
|
matrix for sure.

I rather enjoyed The Matrix more.
|
There are 2 movies which blew me away when i first saw them:
- Terminator 2 - The Matrix Those are the best in its kind imo. Best movies of all time for me personally.. I havent seen inception yet, gotta watch it! But i dont know if it will have a big impact on me like the 2 movies i mentioned. |
