the biggest difference between mac & pc

the pc guys don't really talk about their PC's.. .

a PC guy will say something like: I'll email ya, I edited those files, I got everything backed up, I saw that vid on youtuube, etc...

a MAC guy will say: I'll email ya on the mac, it's so easy, I used the my mac and edited those files, it was so easy on a mac, I got the mac backed up, it was so easy with mac, I saw that on my mac, my mac handles youtube so easy, etc...

that's about it as far as I can tell..

oh yeah and this too: my MAC will handle any kind of file, I found this converter for $29.00, it was so easy with the mac :winkwink:

MAKE IT STOP

It's not important which OS you use.
It's not important if you like Android of iOS
It's not important if you have a foreskin.

Really.

DamianJ 06-15-2011 07:54 AM

Go to a mac forum and troll the idiots there. Mac forum people are a special kind of retard. You'll get much more mileage out of it.

But you comment in EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE THREADS. Don't like the Mac bashing threads? Stay the fuck out of them. Without a Mac app to help you with your self-control you are absolutely powerless, aren't you?

in all seriousness, when I was leaning HTML back in the mid 90's I was learning from a guy with a apple 75hz machine.

I was on on the fence between mac and pc , at the time I had a 486. his apple crashed and he lost all his data, so I went with a Pentium 75hz machine...

and that basically is why I'm on pc.. to much invested to change now and I did do some editing on a mac pro last year... didn't really care for it or really have the time of money to invest in changing platforms... pc's are just tools to me and don't use one in my personal life much.

the whole mac/pc thing is funny to me and I like the jokes, that's about it too be honest about it.

My first computer was an expensive IBM set-up. Photoshop and video editing. Nothing worked at all ever. The finally took it back and a friend suggested I try a mac. Everything worked and was also much simpler to use.

I don't care what they cost, I'm a customer for life.

You mistake embarrassed for ashamed.

I mean, you are adults right? But you argue about Mac OS Vs Windows?

Mac. Short for Macintosh. Not MACINTOSH.

MAC in capital letters is about MAC addresses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address

Why do so many Americans get confused about that?

I would have done the same... been using PS since version 3.5 and never had any real issues until about PS 7, now with cs4 it's a total peice of buggy crap for me.

MaDalton 06-15-2011 08:26 AM

Not butt hurt, darling, just think that the weekly "macs suck/Windows sucks" threads are pointless and dull. Whereas laughing at whichever lie PM decides to tell us this week is amusing.

Even if we have vastly different senses of humour, you can't think these mac vs windows threads are amusing, can you?

Or is it just funny poking the OS trolls?

Maybe it's my lack of understanding of the wit here? Maybe you could talk me through what makes it interesting to amusing?

You missed the part where typical mac users namedrop the software like:

"I use Safari" | "Not a problem on my mac with transmit" | "Oh yea, iTunes does that for me automatically on my mac" | "Oh don't worry, Time machine does that"

And of course the typical fanboi response to any problem thread which Mark Prince uses (sorry buddy but its fucking true) - "Get a Mac", or posts a picture of a Mac.

The problem is most converts that went from PC to Mac tend to end up being religious preachers of the product because for the first time they actually felt like they were accomplishing something and not fully realizing they're just computer retarded.

The typical points they like to drivel on about is virus on PC's, and the belief that mac hardware is superior when its not, and actually is usually middle-grade components. Regarding virus's, mac's have them too, and honestly anyone that gets a virus on their PC should be ashamed if you use your computer constantly for business.
Its the single most important investment to your business and if you're not willing to educate yourself on the software and OS you use, and like you do with your home and car by ensuring it has locks, insurance and security, then you just plain fail.

one of my bosses for an old company i worked for in the past had me stand in line for the new iPad.....for 5hours!!!! all because he had a client that thought it might be cool to have one. I hate that man to this day for that. apple people are crazy.

Mac market share is so low on a global scale it's not even worth talking about. So why bother.

I'm still lost.

So I react constantly by saying 'great, the weekly macs/PCs pointless thread'.

And you think that is funny? Really?

As I said, we clearly have vastly different senses of humour. but that's cool. I honestly didn't understand why it happened every week and if it is to laugh at Mac owners for reacting to the trolling, then cool. I defend to the death your right to do that. At least I understand now. Thanks.

that is my thinking actually... i do pick up stuff once in a while looking at other content or clicking links in post around here... never got an 'infection though' and anything I picked up was gone in seconds..

True, the products are nice (though very expensive imo) and it's rapidly growing. I just don't understand all the love/hate.

It's just a fucking computer lol some people think it's a lifestyle. But then again, to each his own, if someone needs to identify with a computer/phone brand to feel "cool". That's their problem, I just lol at them :pimp

Anyone who associates a lifestyle with a gadget should be put out of their misery now.

Owning a Mac isn't a lifestyle choice. It is a following the trend, being brainwashed, and paying to much choice.

I wouldn't call an IUD a gadget, more of a medical device.
It isn't really pieces of technology molded into a fancy shape and a logo slapped on it.

You don't really hear anyone saying

"Hey picked up a cool gadget today!"

"Cool what is it?"

"Got an IUD!"

"What the?....."
