Look at everything you have in your life... family, friends, safe home, car, cable tv... now subtract the friends and family because they were bombed or killed from some form of fundamentalist group, political faction or invading country, subtract the safe home because your home was blown up in the latest skirmish so now you live in a refugee camp with 1000's of other people who were flushed from their homes and families, subtract the car because that was long stolen and blown up and your cable tv has become a selection of 3 channels 2 propaganda generators from both sides of the battle and one that shows reruns of baywatch mixed with news blurbs from al jazeera...

While there is unrest in many different parts of the world there has been fighting and war in the middle east since the beginning of recorded history and there seems to be no end in sight. It is what they know and they seem to have little interest in changing it.

No, the problems actually started in the year 610 when some insane Arab started having hallucinations that he was talking to god and then decided to go out and start slaughtering people until they started believing his fairy tales.

Money brought to the region by oil, then countries want a bigger chunk, so they fight to take over other countries in any way they can. Simple economics, they just use religion as an excuse, sort of like the Roman Catholic Church and the Crusades, it was about money and power and land.

America already had it's civil war with the people killing each other so why curse
other nations that also may need to go through that awful process.

The middle east is pretty much a cess pool of shit. They live in poverty. Their religion forces them to fight and kill everyone they see. Their religion tells them that women are shit and should serve as slaves to men. I would say the middle east is pretty fucked up. But hey, that's just how they roll.
