Wikileaks.org pulled...

Controversial whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks has suffered a blow after its domain name provider said it had withdrawn service to it.

Can't say I'm surprised... Waiting for the death or jail news.

LeRoy 12-03-2010 01:31 AM

The dirt was good tho. damn

Agent 488 12-03-2010 01:32 AM

he is supposed to be arrested today.

SGS 12-03-2010 02:06 AM

Just released that it's a DOSS attack?

Agent 488 12-03-2010 02:08 AM

odd that they don't have a bunch of other domains ready to move to. word about a new domain would get out in a day.

k0nr4d 12-03-2010 02:10 AM

They'll come back on another domain and be just as popular.

Tempest 12-03-2010 02:10 AM

Wonder who will have the balls to host/register the site again..

On the other hand, it would be better if people had the documents and started posting them up on their own sites to just keep it all going. Thousands of sites keeping it all live would be the ultimate nightmare for those wanting it all to just disappear.

CodeR70 12-03-2010 02:11 AM

But is the domain dropped or just the DNS services for the domain?

BTW, the services are still running on http://46.59.1.2/, http://213.251.145.96/ or http://collateralmurder.com/.

Yeah, it's not the first time that this happened (I remember those Scientology OTs which was a big thing here in the NL). Not surprisingly they are already distributed through BitTorrent as well.

Davy 12-03-2010 02:18 AM

I liked wikileaks better when it still was a wiki.
Nowadays, the seem to specifically want to fight the US. Not much on there. And they hold the exclusive access to what can be uploaded and what not.
We should be allowed to post info of Mallick there, for example.

Agent 488 12-03-2010 02:19 AM

WikiLeaks moves to Switzerland http://wikileaks.ch/

the wikileaks splinter group is going to be an anonymous upload site with no editor.

stocktrader23 12-03-2010 02:20 AM

It's the damn DNS services and was done only because they were suffering from the DDOS attacks as well.

Bullshit thread is bullshit.

SGS 12-03-2010 02:20 AM

I think that info on Goldman Sachs was due to be released today?

e-god 12-03-2010 02:30 AM

When he declared that he is going to release bank docs - that was it, he will be dead or neutralized soon. Banks rule the world!

He already has...

"In an interview published Monday, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange revealed that his whistleblower website intends to publish a trove of secret documents exposing the corruption of a major American bank."

I dont understand why someone would announce what they're about to do, rather than just doing it. Is this hollywood marketing or something? Trying to stir up enthusiasm in people in advance? That was not bright.

why that's a good question

considering how those tube sites were pulled for 'criminal content', there is other questions

I've been wondering the same. I think he knows he wants to go a certain direction, doesn't have supporting doc's but knows if he talks about it in advance, people will show up with supporting docs he needs to build his case.

Cam94 12-03-2010 10:12 AM

Funny how the real pressure started being applied when he announced that he was going to release the info on the banks.

RadicalSights 12-03-2010 01:38 PM

That guy will be dead soon.
