KFC Double Down Sandwich (pic)
KFC came out with a new heart attack menu item, the KFC Double Down Sandwich.
"Behold, the KFC Double Down sandwich. It is, if you really want to know, two slabs of fried chicken intersliced with two pieces of bacon, two slabs of cheese, and the Colonel's "special sauce." It comes in the form of a sandwich, with the fried chicken where the bread used to be. It's sort of hilarious. It's sort of perfect. And then it'll probably make you vomit..." It taste like a vagina, a greasy vagina:xomunch
|
Everyone on tv is dissing it because it is unhealthy. I think I'd rather eat broiled chicken instead.
|
I think the funniest thing is the calories aren't terrible, the fat is high but it's not the worst... the sodium is pretty nasty, but I think that's to be expected from drive-through food.
|
ah fat americans:)
|
damn this can make your ass twice fat as normal:pimp
|
you can squeeze the thing and use the excess grease as lube

The grilled version is like 450 some odd calories.
Did you know a mcdonalds filet-o-fish is 470 calories? |
I don't understand why the fast food restaurants wont offer some healthy alternatives to their staple items. For example, instead of 80% lean ground beef (at best) offer a 98% lean ground beef burger with a slice of fat free cheese. Sure it will cost more, charge more for it. People like myself who want something healthier will pay double for it if needed.
That's why I stopped eating fast food, its all super high in saturated fat. Especially for breakfast fast food, they could use egg beaters, turkey bacon, and fat free cheese on a bagel and offer a not so bad for you item that wont taste that much different then what they are selling now but will be 100x better for you. |

Grilled version looks great. It is really the white bread and sugar that kills ya. That is a perfect Atkins diet sandwich. :)

something so simple and makes sense I don't understand why they don't do it. If they tried and no one bought it that is one thing but I don't believe they have ever tried this. Also you have to advertise the hell out of it to let people know. If you simply put a healthy burger on the menu at a Mc Donalds and don't advertise it, ofcourse no one is going to buy it. The people already in line are there because they don't give a shit about their health and they want the grease. The people who would order it needs to know its offered for them to go to the store in the first place to buy it. |
I'm going to try one of those this weekend.

It is an homage to the AMAZING EFFICIENCY of American agriculture, agri technology, and infrastructure. Hats off to the USA. I know they have their haters but I'm writing this from a developing country and we can definitely use that efficiency and technology.
