STP Pro vs. MechBunny
 

Anyone have experience with both and willing to share their opinion on some pros and cons?

Feel free to include other Tube Scripts in this comparison as well

Smart Tube Pro Pro?

MechBunny preferred by myself. I use for many difference variation of tube sites.

I have not had the other one so I can't compare.
But have had no complaints with mechbunny and he is extremely helpful too.

Any reason why you prefer it? Or do you not have experience with Smart Tube Pro Pro and you're just satisfied enough with MechBunny to not need to try it?

We'll see how STP develops over time but right now I havent seen any large sites running it while Mech Bunny script runs on sites with millions of hits per day. I did see STP just released a nice default design which will definetly help but if you want to customize it then the above still applies.

I agree that DLXER or whatever charges a lot... too much for STP templates/designs...

Try STP and you will see it's worth every penny.
Our biggest downside is that we are new and many people are in the process of setting up their tubes on STP, time will prove STP can handle shitloads of traffic with ease. We have a set of unique features that i am sure makes STP stand out from the rest.

Btw, we can't help it that some companies charge more for design than others, has nothing to do with STP. If you can do Smarty than you are more than welcome to do skinning yourself. Also you can have any design company do skinning, DLXER isn't the only company that does design you know ;-)

If you choose Mechbunnies over STP than i would say good choice and good luck with it, we respect Mechbunnies, but we feel it's not the best choice :winkwink:
I would consider Mechbunnies as the only real competitor so if you are serious about tubes than it's either Mechbunnies or STP.. cheers..

If i am right 1500 offer is only unlimited for 1 server .. wonder how many BIG tubes you can host on one server :P, I`d stick to smart tube pro. 1. they proved them selfs more then ones with smart thumbs. 2. When i`ve read feature list both scripts are good, but i favored stp. 3. They update more frequently. 4. Moving scripts later to stp (i can bet money on that it will be best script) from another or cheaper script will fuck your traffic especualy search engine. I dont know about mechbunny but stp kicks ass with se. i raised 19k se with stp in 3 and a half months time.

I have been able to customize MB to a number of different types of tube sites. Not only traffic and pay site but even the way the site(s) run within those structures. The script does not crash or give me a lot of grief. That goes for 5 videos, or 10,000. It is very stable. Plus konrad is always available to help and make the changes I want or need.

I have also sold a number of various tube sites to clients. They have not had any issues that I am aware of. So it has been solid for as long as both myself, and them. If you go with the $1500.00 option, you get unlimited license. So you can build and clone site after site for a network, or pay sites. Whatever your pleasure.

$800 - that is a high price to pay. Maybe there are some free tube scripts out there that take 1% skim of your traffic or something like that.

If you wanna go with skim tube script i feel you are really not serious about running a tube.. you will get what you pay/skim for..STP was not made for people that want to do a quick free tube anyway..

Great, but you didn't answer the question... do you have experience with both??? Or are you just satisfied with MechBunny and haven't actually used STP?

I haven't used STP...looks awesome though. I have used MechBunny's script and would recommend it and him. I've also used Tubex from JMB which is not bad. If I was really serious and planned on developing a huge tube site with a ton of traffic I would go with MechBunny or maybe give STP a try. For smaller tubes a cheap, easy to use script like TubeX works best for me. Also, I recommend hitting Yellowfiber up for the hosting...they have tube hosting down to a science.

NTS is FREE only need a link to the nubiles with it. so no skim just one link on main page plus the nubiles channel.

I have worked with all the tube scripts at one point or another with design or integration. IMO www.mechbunny.com is the best. $1500.00 for the license and you can have 1 site or 100 sites. His script can handle the traffic and the script is easy to use. I use it on my sites and recommend it to anyone looking to really get into the tube game. Konrad is always around and works with all his clients to assure they have the support they need. MechBunny has it locked down!

provent to run lots of traffic = Mechbunny

value = Mechbunny ( assuming you plan on having more then 3 tubes )

in the end both script have thier pro's and cons you cant go wrong with either.

Your layout/design on ghetto tube looks a little flimsy but wordpress is bomb for SEO/etc...

Mind sharing what wordpress tube plugin and/or other plugins you're using on that site??

Incorrect on many levels. Including the part about SE.

However, the script is only ONE piece in a bigger puzzle when it comes to SE. Just like any other script that is out there, wordpress, or TGP submits. If you do not know how to set the site up from the GET-GO then you will have issues.

There are plenty of sites you could find who never optimized for SEO nor thought about it when setting up their script, and how they did descriptions, title tags, page names, among many other SEO things. Then wonder why they get shit rankings with their page names are index7.html or some variant.
