I don't know of anyone who has actually been debited yet. We have kept our toe in the water there until they actually take our money.

they are only my plan B ...they dont owe me anything ,your correct it would be not the smartest thing to be doing lots of biz with them in view of the recent events but still sucks for any processor to go down...and if all is well its still not a great advertisement for the company !

I don't get it. You have sites with them but only as plan b? What does that mean? If you're with them and they don't owe you any money i would work on your sites a bit because you're doing something very wrong.

Lost 19K with Ibill..yada yada..it's part of the risk. Same with ccbill and epoch which I also use.

After all the warning signs in the last 30 days I would have expected most would have pulled their links and moved to something else.
I hope this is just a scheduled outage but having the home page go 404 is not a good idea.

Yes I set up a few small project sites to launch shortly and hooked them up with verotel but after recent events l intend to go with ccbill instead and just keep them as a second processor /back up plan b :winkwink:

As I am reading this thread I see Verotel has an ad on GFY! What gives? Owing thousands of dollars to hundreds of webmaster and they are looking for new suckers oops I mean clients!

Server errors, 404's etc are no reason to suddenly announce (or question) if a company is closed. They could be moving servers, updating dns's, who knows.

When we moved our servers back in February we had to setup new DNS's ahead of time, create a page announcing we were down for a few hours, then physically move all of our servers. Customers saw "Sorry, busy, back soon" message and nothing more.

I know Verotel's in the news lately but I've met a few of those guys in person and they're all GREAT PEOPLE. Regardless of the disagreements that some are having with them, they don't deserve to be trashed on the boards.

The main page is back up now, saying the work will goto 11:30 eastern time now.
