Did Jim Cramer have his tail between his legs or what?

I don't understand why he even went on The Daily Show. He didn't stick up for himself at all.

He took a hell of a tongue lashing from Jon Stewart and apologized profusely.

This after whining all week long on the NBC channels that Stewart wasn't being fair.

He got friggin PWN3D.

I can't wait till they release the full interview tomorrow. Apparently it went a bit long.

mozadek 03-12-2009 09:40 PM

Cramer is cool, I cant stand that rat faced Prick Santeli.

CDSmith 03-12-2009 09:59 PM

I'll never understand these fools who make bold statements on-air, then weeks later try to deny they said it or try to spin it some other way. This Cramer guy for instance has been making himself look like a complete idiot, how can he not know his shit is on tape?

Seriously, instead of crying about unfairness he should have manned up and admitted he was out to lunch on the "prediction" and he'd have been much further ahead.

Now he just looks foolish.

And this... ha ha...
Quote:

"In his opening, Stewart announced that it was "go time." He played a video clip of Cramer's Thursday guest appearance on "The Martha Stewart Show" in which Cramer beat a mound of dough, pretending it was Stewart.

Said Stewart: "Mr. Cramer, don't you destroy enough dough on your own show?""
:1orglaugh

pocketkangaroo 03-12-2009 10:03 PM

He got fucking annihilated by Stewart. I don't know if Cramer was blindsided or what, but I almost felt bad for him at the end.

CDSmith 03-12-2009 10:48 PM

All kidding aside, Jon Stewart is usually all fun and games (but very cutting to the bone with the humor, but in a fun way), and Cramer probably should have just let it go and laughed it off earlier in the week. But if you push the issue knowing that JS has you dead to rights and you actually go on the show and confront the guy you are going to get owned.

Result: he got owned. And deservedly so. He is watched by millions and he is basically fucking with people's money and their livelihoods. Stewart is simply holding him and guys like him AND their networks accountable for their "loose" behavior on-air.

Behind the funny guy political satirist there's a very sharp dude that is no pushover, as that guy Tucker Carlson & co. on the former CNN show "crossfire" came to find out. They were all smug and condescending and ol' Jon ripped them all a new one.

Ozarkz 03-12-2009 10:53 PM

What is Cramer a paid pawn?

No other explanation.

Splum 03-12-2009 10:57 PM

Jon Stewart is a fucking asshole, like he really gives a fuck about any of the shit he talks about. Lemmings.

mynameisjim 03-12-2009 11:05 PM

Cramer is a good guy I think. Maybe he realizes that he gambled too hard with his viewers money.

For him, he's a money guy and understands there are risks. I think his viewers forgot about that.

Truth is, he thinks like a true market guy which means if he wants to make 100 million in the stock market, he is probably going to actually make 300 million but lose 200 million during that same period. Which is how the big players do it. Mom and pop watching at home don't realize that's how the game is played. Huge losses are very normal.

Cramer is a trader, not an investor. There is a big difference.

you know what? You are such an ignorant, talkative tool that I'm putting you on ignore. And I don't do that very often. I think you are number 3 since I joined this board, and the other two were assholes who were into gore clips.

I don't even think Cramer was the main target though. He was mocking the whole network. That they pretend to journalists but end up as mouthpieces for these crooks. That they act like they are a network for the average investor but are really just puppeting the big guy's agenda.

I don't think Cramer is a bad guy. He's just an analyst who gives his opinions. He's wrong a lot and I'm sure he's right a lot too. Anyone who invests in a stock strictly because a loud mouthed entertainer told them to is stupid.

Doesn't matter if he cares or not. What he said about Cramer and CNBC is right.

Yes because John Stewart isnt rich, doesnt own stock and doesnt play the market. :error

mynameisjim 03-13-2009 12:33 AM

John Stewart and the Daily Show is right though.

I watched CNBC almost daily for a while but sometime early in 2008 I just couldn't stomach it anymore. Kudlow got so right wing he sounded like a nutjob. Maria Bartiroma was flying on corporate jets with CEOs. It really became a love fest between the channel and big business.

They needed to be called out.

Saw the same swing myself.
I also found that I was not that objective about the markets watching it too much.. Think one gets a better perspective from the outside looking in sometimes.

SomeCreep 03-13-2009 02:28 AM

Cramer knows how to make money in bull markets, but in bear markets he gets his ass handed to him.

He got schooled. That was embarrassing. Apparently Cramer is a big Jon Stewart fan. He said earlier in the day that he was "Nervous".

He fucked up going on the show.

Snake Doctor 03-13-2009 07:39 AM

I don't understand why he agreed to go there.

He should have just laughed it off after the first joke on Monday and it would have went away.

He looked like me sitting in the principal's office in 4th grade after I threw a smoke bomb into the girl's bathroom.

tony286 03-13-2009 07:44 AM

Jon was doing that for his mom.Which is very admirable, he has got my respect. Also it shows you there is no liberal media its all corporate media. That the comedy channel has to be one doing this.

CDSmith 03-13-2009 08:47 AM

Splum should go on the Daily show and call Jon Stewart out.

You do know that Comedy Central is owned by Viacom? :error:1orglaugh

Go back to your fantasy world dude.

Agent 488 03-13-2009 08:56 AM

the real story is how cramer manipulates the markets with his show. until they touch on that, it's just a smoke screen.

robfantasy 03-13-2009 09:01 AM

Yes, that's smart rationale.
Jim Cramer is wrong, but those who make money decisions SOLELY on his wrong info are the ones at fault.

And Jon Stewart is a terrible person for calling him out on being wrong. A republican would never do such a horrible thing!!

You and splum and your kind are just too much :1orglaugh

Who cares if Jon Stewart owns stocks or plays the market. Cramer is irresponsible and CNBC does more PR than reporting.

Cramer set himself up. Only someone with their head up their own ass would think this was all Jon Stewart's doing.

Did you even watch the clips he showed of Cramer speaking?

Are you trying to argue the fact that Stewart owned Cramer or just talking out of your ass for the sake of hearing yourself?

Your conversations have no rhyme or reason, it's like someone could tell you the grass is green and you respond with "The grass doesn't care about the average person."

Do you notice the disclaimers before and after his show?

Azoy? 03-13-2009 09:22 AM

i never liked the guy. he seems like he is always on drugs and i can't stand his attitude.

Of course, and what that tells me is that while the network doesn't take responsibility for what may or may not be said on the show it also says that they aren't keeping Jon on a leash.

These days there are disclaimers for everthing. Look at your average TV drama series... every network runs a disclaimer at the end of every single commercial break. All it is to me is annoying.

Andy CHOOPA 03-13-2009 09:31 AM

He shouldn't have gone on there. He has zero ammunition against Stewart. What can you say against a show that is purely satire?
