Anyone going to the Inauguration?

They are talking like this one is going to be the party of the year. When I was growing up out side of DC the whole family would come visit and we would drive into DC. So are you going? I thought about it but there's going to be sooooo many people that I will be sitting on my sofa watching it on tv.

I do have to say I had fun every one I had gone to but then I was young and probably more happy we didn't have to go to school.

:)

CIVMatt 01-15-2009 07:32 AM

No way I would ever go to that if it was free and they saved me a seat up front

ContentSHOOTER 01-15-2009 08:12 AM

I will be watching it on the tube..........

Anyone know which band is playing first?

I was hoping for G'N'R but it looks like the best thing they have is Bruce Sprungtoon.

fris 01-15-2009 10:26 AM

i heard the hotels in dc of that week are super cheap

munki 01-15-2009 10:29 AM

I have some family in VA that will be there... I'm hoping my uncle nabs some great pics for me.

tehrugs 01-15-2009 10:33 AM

I live really close to it, and there's no way I'm even going outside. There's already a billion tourists here, wandering around asking for directions and looking terrified whenever a bum is nearby.

webair 01-15-2009 10:33 AM

I think i received an invitation but i cant tell if its real or not =))

Sosa 01-15-2009 10:34 AM

no way. I probably won't even watch on tv

Click Obey 01-15-2009 12:50 PM

I live in DC and the only thing I want to do is lock myself inside until its over. The sudden influx of people here is insane. Getting to the national mall to go the concerts and all that jazz would be a total mess. I say leave it to the tourists and fat cats on the hill, ill be nice and warm inside.

D Ghost 01-15-2009 12:51 PM

No.

Who even cares, same shit, different asshole. Big surprise.

uno 01-15-2009 02:59 PM

I think I'm going to find a more local party to go and watch it. I'm sure there'll be bars in NYC having parties if not whole sections of the city.
