Congratulations, We have finally reached the End of Democracy

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.

http://www.commonsensegovernment.com/pix/tytler.jpg

a society starts out in bondage, meaning no or very limited freedoms. Now faced with a very difficult situation (bondage), they turn to religion and religious faith. Through this they achieve the courage they need to fight for and win their freedom. Next, through the benefits of freedom, they achieve an abundance in material things.

Now we start into the other side of the circle/cycle. We get selfishness and laziness setting in. Then we get apathy and finally dependence. Then we arrive back up at the top with bondage again.

A constitutional republic is a form of democracy. It has nothing to do with what i have written. Read history you fucking idiot you might learn something.

Brujah 11-05-2008 01:29 AM

No it's not, learn what a true Democracy is. Learn our nation's history. Read the Constitution for christ sake. The entire thing was setup so that we wouldn't have a true democracy. Our founding fathers hated the concept of democracy and it doesn't appear once in the Declaration of Independence or Constitution. The Federalist Papers even come out and definitively state we are not a Democracy but a Republic.

A constitutional Republic means that your representatives are not guided necessarily by your wishes, but by the rule of law. Our elected officials don't take an oath of office to their party or their people, but to the Constitution. We are only similar to a democracy in the fact that we use a democratic process to elect our representatives.

Democracy is a misused word. It is used by people who don't know history or proper civics.

Idiot exposed, thread closed. Nice work.

sltr 11-05-2008 05:33 PM

The average age may be 200 years, but several civilizations have lasted 1000-1500 years while others only last 10-50 years, so taking an average to make the point is misleading.

and it's not just democracies that fall apart, empires, monarchies, communism, oligarchies, etc. they all do.

Everything is temporary in nature, nothing lasts forever

as i had to do recently in another thread, i'd like to point your attention to the pledge of allegiance:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands:
one Nation under God, indivisible,
With Liberty and Justice for all.

give it up, sometimes it's just better to let the idiots be wrong their whole life, and just hope they don't breed.

You do realize who the CURRENT president is right? The new one doesn't actually take office until next year and you're already blaming him for everything. Typical. :1orglaugh

It's not a natural cycle, it's by design by men in dark suits deciding the agenda in secretive locations.

i dont understand your point. obama is going to be the next president

these events are a reaction to this news

although u may think your messiah can "change" things when he is in power, he and the american people are going to learn the hardway that this is not the way the world works.

we are in the most dangerous times of our lives and the stupid american people have chosen a rookie w/ absoultely no experience to deal with them.

i want to give obama a chance, but like 50% of the other americans, i do not feel comfortable with him being at the helm.

lets hope that i am wrong for the sake of this great country.

i just hope they go easy on us.

i agree.. the shadow government is manipulating this agenda

and to be honest, i believe that secret societies of past have participated in the same type of manipulation, throughout time

J. Falcon 11-05-2008 07:26 PM
