What election night coverage will you follow?

Which network will you be following the election night coverage on? It is always a bit of a pain for me over here because of having to go with the 'international' versions of most of the news channels. Fox doesn't do an international version and just broadcasts their normal US feed on digital tv here. If I watch more than ten minutes of that though I feel like bashing my head in. CNN international will probably mostly take their USA feed on the night. MSNBC used to be good but now that Tim has passed that may not be as good. The BBC is interesting to watch but they do it has outsiders looking in (which they are) and on the night I want American coverage. I will probably be flicking between them all.

Whose coverage will you be following?

John. 11-03-2008 04:39 AM

I think i'll go for the flicking between them all option too!

sweetcuties 11-03-2008 04:42 AM

Prob CNN, NBC... and a lil Fox just to see their unhappy faces :2 cents:

I will probably watch a bit to see how they try to cling onto hope for as long as possible.

Well I know CNN should have some live streaming on their website. Should pretty much be what's on TV. Not sure about the others.

Ditosta 11-04-2008 05:47 AM

Msnbc I think

I am curious as to how the BBC will cover it they are going big with it this time and the coverage of British elections on the BBC is generally very good but I want to feel American tonight (and I am but hard to at such distance sometimes) but Fox will make me want to self harm.

CarlosTheGaucho 11-04-2008 07:25 AM

CNN / NBC / BBC everything I can get here

SilentKnight 11-04-2008 07:28 AM

NBC or msnbc.

It doesn't really matter. I'll be watching at midnight eastern so hopefully this election will be over with by then.

Rochard 11-04-2008 09:58 AM

I won't really.... I'm just gonna wait until Wednesday morning.....

notoldschool 11-04-2008 10:18 AM

All the above and if somehow Obama pulls it out I will be watching FOX to see how they spin it, just for laughs

Tom_PM 11-04-2008 10:22 AM

I get CNN in HD, so probably that but with a picture-in-picture, usually on MSNBC. Tim may have passed, but Brokaw is there and even Luke Russert is covering some young voter related issues and polls and such.

I couldn't do that this is like the superbowl for me since politics is my sport. I do get it if you aren't into politics though.

I have TiVo loaded and a bunch of Netflix DVDs. Hopefully it will all be decided by the time I wake up tomorrow :)

Nothing wrong with pickles! With the amount of world cinema we both watch there is bound to be a midget sex scene somewhere.

LOL, TV shows - nothing exciting. And on TiVo some very thought provoking movies: Hellboy and Baby's Mama :thumbsup

I'm reading the book about Buffet and I can't read something serious and watch something serious at the same time!!

There is nothing wrong with Hellboy. After all, the same director that directed Pan's Labyrinth and numerous other excellent Spanish language films. Plus, hard not to like Ron Perlman. Just trying to figure out who he is going to play in the Hobbit since he is in every film Guillermo del Toro has directed and he has the Hobbit.

That's what I've got on now. I'm about to retire to the couch with the laptop for the duration.

eroticsexxx 11-04-2008 05:18 PM

Whoa! CNN is showcasing Virtual View...

Basically, it's a 3D holographic image of a reporter being overlaid on the live feed!

Niiiice...

Sarah_Jayne 11-04-2008 05:21 PM

Yup, I just saw the virtual reporter woman. That was pretty cool.
