I expected this dumb of an answer around post 28... you just raised the bar! Congrats :thumbsup

Dennis Rodman 10-15-2008 03:17 PM

Thumb MGP/TGP has nothing to do with toob sites dipshits... its instant porn movies ripped into semi-small downladable flash movies.

Yes, he is feeling this too. I know he is. Don't be a superhero and try to revert the inevitable. Thehun's day's are numbered... bookmark this thread. :2 cents:

People dont want to click on a blind description of crap and then click on individual 15 second clips when they can get the whole "she-bang" in one stop.

I know, now you see how fucking retarded you really look. It's ok fuckface, we forgive you.

nikki99 10-15-2008 03:18 PM

No need, Patty is fucked... he is already weighing his options I guarantee. Cybercat is selling their spots to Hindus for pennies on the dollar :1orglaugh

you cant compare when tubes give away full scenes but from a business stand point. I bet the hun converts to sales much better.

you are right. last few times we bought spots they sucked. didnt make close to the money back.

NinjaSteve 10-15-2008 03:55 PM

all your huns are belong to us

mynameisjim 10-15-2008 03:57 PM

Don't forget, the Hun probably has 1/100th the overhead of the tube sites. Switching over to a tube site wouldn't guarantee a sudden increase in profits but would FOR SURE guarantee a huge increase in operating costs. It's not such an easy decision as you make it out to be.

tiger 10-15-2008 10:31 PM

I would bet thehun makes way more then any tube PERIOD.

Idiots chasing massive traffic instead of conversions is what has caused this problem. Why would he convert to a tube. So his stupid alexa goes up? Who the fuck cares.

Money over bitches.

the hun gets paid by advertising (cybercat.com), people pay for listings

conversions don't mean as much to him as they do to the webmaster in regards to his bottom line, so a traffic increase would probably add value, but his site is so well respected and known on the net now, it wouldn't make sense to change

bloggingseo 10-15-2008 10:38 PM

It won't be in the next 3 years.

I don't think anyone disputes that. But a significant amount of his cash flow comes from spots. If webmasters are saying that his spots arn't converting like its 1999, then he will either need to lower his prices or find some other value add. Either way, why are we even comparing his site to a tube site, it's apples and oranges comparison.

I'm willing to bet the house that he has alot of dialup surfers who make over $50K a year and surf casually - a gold mine that I think a lot of webmasters in here ditched a long time ago in favor of bigger thumb and graphic intensive sites...

a lot of the sites that became huge off TGP traffic were the most simple designs and no bullshit

Exactly, only thing he'd have to do is figure out how to keep his paying webmasters happy and continue submitting.

I don't see the hun EVER going to a tube site! He has more morals then that! :2 cents:

JamesK 10-15-2008 10:51 PM

As long as people keep buying the gallery spots, he has nothing to worry about.

eMonk 10-15-2008 10:57 PM

tgps/mgps/tubes/linklists/torrents/etc are here to stay...

everyone is a winner here lol :thumbsup

SKULL 10-15-2008 11:21 PM

:2 cents:

agree with that

unfortunately, so many of the paysites have forgotten about those surfers too, and you wouldn't hardly even be able to navigate the members areas of some of them without high speed

Well said Tiger.

Unless they get in horrible financial strife, they aren't going to change, ever. I get the feeling they do it mostly for fun. Those guys are class.

We still have lots of fun doing it :)

kane 03-05-2010 04:28 AM

When you look at the long term Alexa ranks for his site his traffic has been steady for the last year or so. It is down from where it once was, but he has a lot of loyal surfers who look for a nice variety and he tends to list things that are less common. I don't think he will be changing to a tube site any time in the near future.

it is great how on gfy everyone care about others business. oh you jealous kids

andrej_NDC 03-05-2010 04:39 AM

What makes you think thehun is close to death? He is still as good as years ago, even has the same traffic. From what I remember he had 1.5mil a day in 2001-2002 or so. I don't care about the traffic spike afterwards, that didn't influence sales at all.

Hehe, well most are not so expensive. I prefer 10 nice cheaper guitars over one expensive guitar that might be a little better :)
