aff managers who have 0 traffic, 0 traffic exp, and 0 traffic know how
how the FUCK do they get these jobs?
now, im not going to call you out, but im sure you are going to read this. you know SHIT about traffic, traffic production, or how to tie your own shoe. telling me "our sites convert!" means shit. everyone makes that claim and has been since the start of the internet. "we are 1:300 across the board" also means shit. i dont do tgps, but i know a few guys who do. im pretty sure tgp traffic has NEVER converted 1:300.. ever. anyways, if you have no clue, please dont bother. i know traffic, ive been doing it for years. just becouse you now have a job at blowmebux.com dont mean youve got a clue. |
I Invented BlowMeBucks.com

blowmebux.com sounds good man lol

All of the knowledgeable people who know about traffic are actual affiliates and program owners.
|
sorry double post because gfy is fuckin slow. Let me add this though. Most affiliate reps are there for answering simple questions like "where is my check" etc. For the most part... if you need an affiliate rep's help to make money, then you are in the wrong industry.

But I do get what he's saying about certain reps. I recall having one or two on the phone years ago who were asking me all kinds of questions about "how it works with TGP's"... it was kind of shocking actually. They really should know the game inside and out if they're repping a program and supposedly giving webmasters advice, help, etc. There are a few out there who are quite sharp though, have been around a long time and are themselves affiliates of the company they work for. It's easy to spot them too. They're not all show and no go. |
Sad but true :( I´m a female webmaster, I have done pretty much everything on the affiliate side: traffic trading, gallery building + submission, free site building + submission, blog setting up and posting, paysites reviews, ad buying and selling, some seo, script installation, speak 3 languages fluently, worked in sales as a sales account executive for the telecom industry for 10 years, so if you want or ever need an affiliate rep or sales and you can afford me, just reach out for me ;)
|
Which just makes those that do have a clue all the better ;)
|
Think of it the other way... an expert in traffic conversions working as a rep. What do you think they're doing all day? If it was me in their shoes, I'd be nosy as hell and looking at the referral logs and looking at their landing pages all day. Figuring out how they get their traffic and getting their joins. Then what do you think they're doing in their off-hours...
Between a complete idiot with no affiliate experience and someone who's experienced and nosy, I'll take the idiot. I'd feel my traffic is safer there. WG |
fuck wg, why do you want to go and do that
now i cant send wegcash any more traffic fuckin cory. |
(i ofcourse joke in my last post, cory is fuckin amazing and a huge reason i send weg traffic)
|
Well.. I have to agree with you brand0n!
People making claims without any real experience having actually done... , is only hype. People make comments about me and my knowledge about SEO even though I normally get within the first page of Google, but when I check out the sites of those who call me out they either don't have a website or they simply can't get a decent location within any of the search engines... when you go and confront them they say they have been doing their job for many years and therefor you must not know what you are talking about.
Its fine to read what others say about a subject, however, reading and excepting other opinion without testing out the validity of such information and passing it off as 100% fact is just wrong! I just think there are a few who are really good at their job(s) and do not want to give their marketing edge away so they create convoluted processes and pass them off as fact to their friends and contacts... Really the only thing I can think to say: is that if you are going to call anyone out on a subject you better be really good at what you do and have proof ready for other to see. Everyone has to learn the ropes if they are serious about what they do... program owners who have no technical experience should not call down those who have actual experience and hide behind their position at their company. I say this not out of spite of anyone, but rather to point out it happens a whole lot here at GFY and around the internet. Later, :upsidedow |

I want to be an affiliate manager too :)
|
well....if they get your attention & don't piss you off
then they are doing their job but i agree most of them aren't worth the $50 they get paid a week companies who hand pick industry veterans.....now they are on the right path pay a aff rep 75-250k a year if you want results......IMO :2 cents: |

http://fdsign.com/2007/stats/capture-november2007.jpg (index0.html is AL4A) you're right on everything else and all conversions took a really hard hit since January 2008 thanx to tube sites, . However, even though I've no time nor will to submit galleries, I still get sales from old listings and they're like 1:300 to 1:400. Let's put it this way: when I see a program converting worse than 1:800 with my own galleries (not FHG) then I know there are 3 options: a) the program really sucks ball b) they're scrubbing too hard (basically happens with Epoch) or c) they're shaving. Either way, not worth to promote them :2 cents: |
Sounds like good advice harvey!

I guess since I own all my sites that would make me the affiliate manager right? Well I know very little but at least I am honest about it I guess. Does that help?

but im totally sure it was tube sites....& not a lack of disposable income for blue collar guys |

btw: the worst conversions are consistent globally and not every country in the world faces the same economy problems US does, but they all have access to tube sites, so that kind of makes a strong point on what I said

Now I see why you do that... lol Any Rep that does not do their homework .. or I guess in this case it's their day job.. Needs to spend sometime building a few sites and sending diffrent traffic to it.. It`s not like they don`t have a few connections to make it that much easier for them... How else do you really know whats working and whats not. ` I'll never understand why a rep would not want to learn everything they can and put some time in and building something of their own.. In the long run it will just make them better at what they do and feeds more cash in to their pockets. Remember most reps make a something off every sales that webmasters send their way. |
