Same thing I was thinking... :helpme I think the definition of Web 2.0 has gotten a little tweaked from the initial one.

Looks like they are redoing all of the generic niche adult site tours they have back from 1996...

I guess this is going to be the new "standard" for their generic niche sites..

Shap 06-16-2008 06:49 PM

Good looking site platinum people!!!!

WiredGuy 06-17-2008 11:19 AM

How is this a web 2.0 site?
It looks nice nevertheless, just doesn't seem to be a 2.0 style site.

adult-help 06-17-2008 11:25 AM

What is web 2.0 exactly? The way I see it Web 2.0 is a term tossed around by people who spend far too much time on the internet but it really doesn't hold much currency. Kind of like Rick Rolling someone. Ever tried explaining that to a friend who isn't on message boards all the time?

Bastone 06-17-2008 11:40 AM

looking great ;)

Jerrott was just showing me not long ago!

payd2purv 06-17-2008 11:42 AM

Doesn't get any more defined then that.

This is a progressive launch - we are first doing a 'reimagining' of some of our more classic properties to better represent a broader range of niches.

As for Web 2.0 - we are adding features slowly to the more conventional style so as to not alienate the regular traffic and determining which elements translate well. Some of the earlier additions are removing multiple clicks while browsing the previews to ease the user experience - Flash players, embedded gallery scripts and movie ratings are some of the earlier additions, and you will be seeing increasing changes as we release more sites.

And there's a nifty scrolly gallery thing. :thumbsup

Well, I call that evolution.

My point being that even this "web 2.0" is still evolving and will be different a year or two from now as we create new ways to interact and share information.

Platinum Dave 06-17-2008 02:11 PM

50 new tours coming from PB

BradM 06-17-2008 02:12 PM

There's nothing "web 2.0" about this. Explain or try to justify it all you want. This is a 2004 tour with a vote script on it.

Fail.

Your mug is on the front of http://www.xbizsummerforum.com/ scroll down.. middle picture..

spacedog 06-17-2008 02:25 PM

There's nothing web2.0 about that site.. matter of factly, if I were shopping for porn I would not join that site.. First, the logo looks cheap and cheesy.. second, the color scheme is awful and evokes a feeling/sense of queasiness.. not something that is making me feel turned on nor wanting to spend money, but more like turning my stomach.. sort of like a bloody vomit.. It needs some serious gamma adjustments and needs to be toned down a bit... your potential customers will be too blind to click the join button..

The content chosen for the tour isn't so great either..

fris 06-17-2008 04:29 PM

its non exclusive content

Tempest 06-17-2008 05:26 PM

Long live the cookie cutter!!!!!
