It's funny I've never been a pig fan but since being part of a big Jewish family the last 2 years I can tell you I don't miss it one single bit.

Don't sully the good name of bacon like that. pepperoni isn't even in the same league as bacon.

I prefer the real stuff... it tastes better and it isn't even all that bad for you. Buy it fresh as opposed to packaged and it's cheaper and better for you.

yep :) I am one of the few in my family that don't do kosher.

I love baby back ribs, bacon, sausage, etc but I hate ham - go figure...

Back when I still worked at the hospital I had this one patient who had a standing order before bed every night -- 10 strips of semi-crisp bacon. The guy was skinny, had cystic fibrosis, and had one of those personalities that made him a royal pain in the ass for everyone... but damn did he love his bacon.

Smell of it made all the other patients hungry.

I was a vegetarian for 17-years (from birth) -- and it was the bacon that turned me :P

I love it. I buy the Danish double smoked bacon from Whitehouse Meats at St. Lawrence market in Toronto for breakfast on Sundays -- and it rocks with a couple of fried free-range eggs and rye bread :)

Uno --- most places use the tiny cocktail shrimps, but a select few use the real full sized shrimps on their pizzas. Both are good but I prefer the big 'uns. and a good covering of bacon... and double cheese.

Learned a new easy recipe with the stuff last month - sounds whack, but tastes great:

Simply wrap a slice of bacon around a pitted and dried date. Rinse/Repeat until desired quantity is reached.

Bake until bacon is crispy and cooked all the way through (30 mins or so at 350 degrees F) Stick a toothpick in it.

Perfect party food, as it makes for a conversation piece, to boot. One of those foods that people are a bit hesitant to try, but then eat the hell out of once they do.
