I was in Cuba 8 years ago and I did not really like it. But I returned this year and visited Holguin and this experience completely changed my mind.

A couple of things have changed like they are allowed to purchase cellphones, DVD players and other electronics. They are now also allowed to purchase a room at the resorts. Some of the locals told me that in a couple of months, they will be allowed to get a passport and travel as well (if you can afford it that is).

Actually the first time I went to Cuba was Varadero and I did not like it at all. I think it was probably because of the hotel because everyone else loves it. The service was bad and the food was terrible. I think I lost 10 pounds on that trip

I have been 5 times, and have a great time each trip. I love the people and the beaches.

BIG COCONUTS VS SMALL COCONUTS

Big Coconuts:
-They Float better
-More expensive
-Have a place to carry more booze
-Always looks better for decoration
-Has More milk

Small Coconuts:
-More firm
-Always looks younger
-Takes longer to fall off of a tree
-Know that anything more than a handful is a waste
-Will not be accused of being genetically modified food

Too bad:( At least its getting warmer in Montreal now

Actually I think Americans can go to Cuba but they have to go through Canada or Mexico first. Plus they do not stamp your passport when you get to Cuba but they staple a piece of paper to your passport so you can take it off anytime so that American security does not know you have been there.

Its a bit harder but its not impossible.

I always wanted to go there, but fucking US govn't wont let me go... bastards.

Got Cuba scheduled after the rain season in the fall. It will be my second time as well. Fantastic place for vacations, no Americans too ;)

Those pics remind me when I went to Cayo Coco, that was even more touristy than the main island of Cuba, but its even nicer. And they have flights from YUL directly there too ;)
