Isn't porn illegal there anyway? And yet every second big sponsor is Australian...?! Just noticed SexTraffic's banner about getting webmasters laid and was surprised to see them based in Australia as well...

australian content producers get models dirt cheap compared to their american counterparts. um, the illegality of displaying porn doesn't matter with USA servers, and a few individuals got into it early, and spawned the aussie industry :)

also, the fact that the Aussie dollar is about half of the US dollar, the aussies get a nice exchange rate and I'm sure that's a better option than a job in the bush........

Many of the aussie programs we simply fronts for spam and generate little webmaster traffic. Aussie is spam capital of the world. Not saying that is a bad thing these days!

Most austrailian people are of british descent and british people are by far, the ugliest people in the world. Aussies are ugly. And of course, there are exceptions so dont start posting pictures of supermodels.

I remember a Looooooooong time ago when porn was not even a big business yet, I was doing some commission-based sales online and the man behind a pretty big company then was Australian as well... they started early.

i think you will find the quality of the irls here has really picked up since the mass migrations at the end of world war two.

The pay rates in Australia for models are pretty much exactly the same as pay rates for models in the US, if not a bit more expensive.

yeah the dollar figure is the same but once we exchange it its actually cheaper

the reason why its better for us is our bills are all AUD yet we sell in USD.....we can cut out normal USD profit to beat our competition yet still make a good AUD amount :)

an Aussie porn company pays his hosting in American dollars, his traffic in American dollars and his content in American dollars. So the Aussie dollar doesn't make any difference other than how far those American dollars go in Australia.

I would figure that a car costs you probably pretty much the same there as a % of your yearly income as it does in America.
Same with a house.

But there is some benefit in having a weak dollar when you are getting most of your income in the stronger Yankee buck, just not as much as you suggest.

Ummm - I dont know where you find your models but I can tell you that I pay the same amount in USD equivilant as other similar US based companies do, and I often have to pay more especially when it comes to hardcore.
