I walk up to the front door of the apple store, raise my arms as I approach the greater and say, "Can I buy two phones"
she says,"yes, you're allowed two"
I say,"but can I get them right now"
She says, "yes, go over to the genius counter"
I say, "ah, they have a counter just for me, cool"
She gives me a "pity the old guy" laugh.
I go to the counter, spend approx. 2 minutes buying them, and out the door I go.

yeah, I drove past the apple store at lunch. 20 people were camped.
I figured with each store getting 500 units, I could waltz in around 8:30 and get what I wanted, no wait.

No, it was a good idea. If you go to the apple online store you can order them but look at the estimated ship date - it already says 2-4 weeks.

the one thing I hate about my touch screen windows mobile phone..

trying to hit the right buttons on the screen when I'm on the road. I have most people I call regularly programmed for voice dialing, but every once in a while.. have to use the screen... Only thing I miss about the phone I had before this one.

I can do that with my phone too..just hate the small screen and the endless scroll.

i donno man, i wanted to get one but didnt. You know apple is going to come up with a skinner and better iphone like a year from now..I heard the 3G one will come in 3 months.
