Watch the 60 minutes episode on the medicaid drug bill.
It is the only time a vote has been left open for hours where votes were allowed to be changed for hours so that it will pass. During the "voting session" lead Congressional members went around twisting the arms of nays until they voted yea. Those writers and arm twisters went on to leave within months of the bills passing to become millionaires working for the drug companies lobbying for the bill to pass. And what did the bill do? Force Medicaid to except the price requested for prescription drugs from the companies. They no longer could accept the lowest bid offers anymore. Why? Who fucking knows but it is costing us BILLIONS a year in higher costs! |
absolutely briliant. 2 thumbs up
|
also... doesnt matter if leaked on the net. it will generate so much buzz it will make a killing when its released in theaters
|
Oh shit! The Terrorist have better health care the the average US citizen. How does that make you feel?

Just finished the movie. Two words: Fucking Fantastic.
Finally a Moore movie that I enjoyed. The content of the movie really speaks for itself… it is truly a brilliant movie in every sense of the word and I will definitely go see it at the theater when it comes out as well. |

Michael Moore's own words. And then again, this is going to be a big hit. Huge drama there. |
I watched about half of it, but the cross talking made it unbearable.
|
Can I make a huge prediction?
America's eventual downfall will come about because of corporate greed and the inability of Government to stop it from ruining the nation as a whole. |
anyone have a link to the website of the dude he mailed the anonymous donation to? that is ownage on a level i have not previously witnessed.

their idea of replicating the EU in the america is a joke. basically they want to pay no taxes, but leave the borders closed, and the other countries needs to agree with their demands. it's fucking bullshit i must say. just take some smaller unions like let's say Union of South America. That is fair, compare with ALCA and you will see. I'm not hating on the USA or anything, I love it, it's just that they fail to see that they need to share a little to grow more. |

In general, private enterprise can do whatever the government can do.. better and cheaper. Despite what Moore says, the free enterprise system works.. well.
This can be applied to health care, social security, whatever. The state I used to live in RI, is a prime example. Illegal aliens get platinum health coverage, average taxpaying families get none. The state there tries to muscle in on every game in town, and the taxes and corruption are sky high. It is unliveable. So, I don't believe in large government. Americans need to take responsibility for their own health care and stop smoking, eat better, exercise, and lose weight. That would make us healthier than all the insurance in the world. Last, I don't trust Michael Moore to give an honest assessment, because his other movies have had major distortions. That said, I would like to see the US government clamp down on insurance companies and reduce the payment denials which are so devastating to patients. We needs ways to clarify and enforce that when you have insurance, it is valid and it will be honored. |

He is too brief, he doesn't cover 'everything' just what he wants people to believe. But he has a point there. I hope people take this as a constructive criticism. |

The answer is obvious. |

There are ways for the government to provide blanket coverage for everyone, they just have to actually get past their own partisan crap and do it. In a way we already have it. A person can go into an emergency room and get treated and then never pay the bill and eventually the hospital will eat it and the tax payers will pay for it. So we have coverage, we just choose to wait until people are very sick or hurt and take the most expensive route possible to solve their problem. |
