Hey corvette great seeing you in Hollywood last month and thanks for the breakfast :thumbsup
CCBill is definitely on top of things as usual with the Phoenix Forum so much that they even take the time to ask us what type of music we want around the pool. Damn you guys are GOOD! I agree that anything Reggae is always great around the pool. :) Here's a few other suggestions from my Pandora.com group of personal radio stations... Ripple Groove Johnny Hiland Charlie Hunter Dick Dale Parliament Funkadelic Jimmies Chicken Shack Medeski, Martin and Wood The Police The String Cheese Incident Santana Sound Tribe Sector 9 Umphrey's McGee For those of you that want some awesome internet listening music while you work check out www.pandora.com and you can set up your own group of up to 100 radio stations based on either an artist or an individual song. Once the station is set up then it will continually play music in the same genre or you can mix your own group of stations. :winkwink: _ |

we dont want to be presumptuous enough to ask a1rek to commit to djing from, lets say 11am or so until 5-6pm, thur-sat... the guys not going to the forum to work, hes going to promote casey parker, network, enjoy the snacks, etc... but hey, the result we want is good pool music, we are flexible, whatever it takes to get that...:) |
My first choice would be speed metal or heavy metal.
But a more practical choice would be reggae, I remember a reggae band playing poolside at Miami Internext a few years ago and it was a fucking awesome mood that afternoon. :2 cents: |
snoop dog and akon
chris daughtery nickleback maybe throw in a little: Joe Cocker.. Little Help From My Friends How totally fucked up is he in this video .. I do not see how he managed to rock this song like he did :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
I have my own personal tastes. But personally I think if you keep it simple you will in the end make everyone happy. As much as I know this is a party. Many of us are going to be doing business. I personally want to make sure I can talk and keep my voice as long as I can throughout the weekend.

i agree with tender thighs. the forum pool is too small to even take advantage of the sound system you'd need to purchase and utilize properly. there is a way to have a dj and keep it "minimal" and entertaining at the same time. the problem with a dj is everyone is programmed by commercial radio and tv and will badger their ear off every five seconds for the latest overplayed hip hop songs and radio play joints and you'll end up hearing 50 cent In The Club 400 times in a day.
at least at xbiz summer we have a massive outdoor area with a million dollar sound system that you can have music at a decent level and still hear yourself talk without losing your voice. i think that the satellite music that the hotel has piping in can be set to stations throughout the day as the morning turns to afternoon, the drinks flow, the music progresses to the twilight crescendo when everyone needs to go to their rooms and get ready for the evening parties. i'm sure that jace and horowitz can agree with me that not every dj can take the crowd and progress as the environment changes. if you want a jukebox to play all of this stuff that is in here, hire a local tempe wedding dj. none of the adult djs are carrying around any death metal, its simply not what we do. like corvette said, i am going to the show to meet hot women, get drunk, mc the lightspeed dodgeball again, and pass out in a bush.....errr i mean network, promote casey parker, and rob those munchies stations. :winkwink: i like the pool with the music it had last year to be honest from a dj standpoint. it was pretty diverse from what i remember. seee you all there oh http://www.airek.com/gfy/lizard.jpg :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh much love |
i use to hang out with steve tucker ( hes not with them now) from morbid angel back in cincinnati I did met cannible backstage at a concert once that ws close as I got
