Info on Brad Shaw
 

Can anybody direct me to sources (online or offline print) where I can read about this guy and his business ventures?

I've heard his name floating around for years and I do remember the Amateur Beaver fiasco. What happend to that? Did it close due to copyright or did it not sell.

In fact, back in those days I pushed AP and Amateur Beaver just because they offered 5-6cents instead of 4 cents per click. Both sites paid great and on time.

How does this Brad Shaw get away with infringing on other peoples ideas? What else besides hahahahahahaha does he run?

As a webmaster for years now perhaps I should know all of this info about Mr. Shaw already, but I don't. I haven't been involved in the 'gossip' side of this biz until early this year.

The adult internet is based on someone coming up with an idea that works, and others copying the "idea" and trying to improve upon it.

I hate to back up this theory but it is the truth. I was talking to B.B. King (the most popular bluesman in history) one night and we were talking about all of these rappers sampling and stuff. I was saying to him 'why can't they just come up with something original for a change?'

B.B. told me,

"Everything comes from somewhere else. All of the greatest songs I did were stolen from other people's ideas. What matters is what You add to the idea. That will determine if people think you stole it or not."

Innovation is just the progression of current ideas. Someone once said "Lets put naked pictures on the web and charge people to see them." Are we copying them? Are they just copying Hugh & Larry? You get the picture.

Hmm... maybe we should open a threaded webmaster resource board... that would be original... no one has ever done that before... ;-))

LOL, sorry, like I said, I don't know much about him or his organization. Going by what I've read on the GFY threads it appears that he has issues and has had issues regarding copying peoples ideas. I'll take a moment to check out the link provided above in just a moment. But can anybody tell me where/how Brad funds his projects??? Obviously he has some finances behind what he does.

Lastly, does he attend conventions like Internext? If so, does he host his own parties because it seems he has a lot of enemies.

Precisely why purists hated MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice. Instead of sampling they recycled the exact same music and rapped over it.

Yes he comes to Internext lol, tho often times people like JoeE, Jay G, and Serge have threatened him. Once he brought Hank the Drunk Dwarf as his bodyguard and that seemed to help.

We usually have parties, sometimes invite only, sometimes not, depending on who we co sponsor them with. Our Vancouver porn party during WCW was only us, but no one tried to shoot Brad, of course they don't allow guns in Canada.

Bottom line is this (and that checks thing I mentioned) - for every person who is successful in this business, I can go find something negative about them at any given time of the day.

I don't care how good people think they are, I don't care how they portray themselves.

Some are content thieves, some shave, some don't pay on every program they've ever run, the list goes on - - NO ONE is immune.

If the worst thing people can come up with for our program is that it they think we copied some other companies ideas, then we are way ahead of the pack so far as I am concerned.

Yeah there has been some speculation that Brad Shaw was like a group of people or something. Someone said his name wasnt even Brad Shaw.

Someone said onetime he was referring to himself as "GoldMember" or "GoldenBoy" at one time.

But I guess as long as the checks cash its ok.
