Why don't you watch The Inconvient Truth, then make stupid ass comments like that. Or would having actual facts be too much for your brain to handle?

lazzlo 01-10-2007 08:34 PM

btw I was emailed these so I have no clue what exact date it is but it may be diff after googling it, I think it froze bvecause there was a big ice jam up river, reducing the flow indeed.

lazzlo 01-10-2007 08:35 PM

oh and i spelled niagra wrong, its niagara!

stickyfingerz 01-10-2007 08:37 PM

HOWEVER.... The flow of water was stopped completely over both falls
on March 29th 1848 due to an ice jam in the upper river for several hours. This
is the only known time to have occurred. The Falls did not actually freeze
over, but the flow was stopped to the point where people actually walked out
and recovered artifacts from the riverbed!

Thats the US side, not likely the Canadian side would freeze that easily.:thumbsup

anne 01-10-2007 10:56 PM

Isnt that before the mechanics were put in to regulate the flow of the falls? I read that if all the water was allowed to go over the falls i would errod in less than 100 years. Scary that there is that much water.

pornguy 01-10-2007 10:59 PM
