Holy shit! Look at Michael J. Fox now!
Ya, it sucks :Oh crap
shitty :-/
I am a physician who specializes is geriatrics. I treat many patients with degenerative neurologic diseases. Michael J. Fox is illustrating the effects of someone who has choreo-athetosis, the result of either medication to treat Parkinson or overly aggressive surgical manipulation of the part of his brain that controls movement. What you are watching is not Parkinson's disease and this ad is disingenuous.
wow that is scary
He actually looks/seems better than I would have expected at this stage. First I heard/saw him and his condition, I thought he was going to be in a downhill spiral real quick.

OMG it sucks
I like that guy and I know he believes in stell cem research and things like that. I remember like 3 years ago reading that he was very optimistic and had lots of positive energy and he really believed a cure for Parkinsons will be found soon. But looks like his condition worsened a lot... And it sucks also cause he got Parkinsons when he was 30 if im not misaken ( and looking a few years younger than his actual age, just like me BTW ) while that disease usually affects people over 60... |
stem cell research has answers to many diseases out there - and not all of the stems need to come from babies. New studies show fat cells and other radical sources can also be used. Politicians are pandering to the religious groups who don't realize that even now - if they fetus's don't get used for stem cells, they are simply thrown out after aborted !!
these and other treatments need to be explored to cure and save millions from MJFox's sickness to diabetes. |
that's life...
speechless..
I also thought he was going to be even worse...
Heh, I thought it was a shaky video camera at first.. then I remembered..
wow, that's sad to see it that bad now

Wow that was one of the most sadest things I've seen in a while. Futher more it just goes to show how fragile our mortality realy is.
Damn, that's sad to see
I will just remember him as he was in Back 2 the Future! :) Hope they do make some breakthrus, for all our sakes.
He's fine, he's just riding on a broken sybian.

I have a paralyzed friend who had a baby a year ago and they took some cells from the umbilical cord and have them frozen here in Tucson. They hope that the blood will be able to help her walk again some day. It can do amazing things ... |

hey ... isnt he a canuck? maybe mallory put some christian voodoo on him. anyways i support stem cell research a lot of people who dont will quickly change their mind when its them who may benefit from it. plus i support abortion in general even if the fetus is just going in a trash can so might as well make use of the little twat turds. |
:( so sad :(
jesus christ....
I am for stem cell research too for curing Juvenile Diabetics like my daughter. |
Poor guy - I will always remember him as he was in Family Ties.... all 5'2" of him...

But is that you or did you quote someone else? |
Emailer Doug: Rush Limbaugh today accused Michael J. Fox, actor and Parkinson's Disease victim, of deliberately going off of his meds to appear on camera with exaggerated symptoms of his disease for dramatic effect. Fox appeared in a recent Clair McHaskill (D-MO) Senate campaign ad, touting the need for stem cell research. Limbaugh even goes so far as to accuse Fox of faking his symptoms all together.

won't be forgotten
was agreat actor :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup |
Holy crap he's going downhill fast. It amazes me that some people want to block research and development of medical advances just because it conflicts with THEIR religious beliefs.
yeah its pretty fucked up that the religious idiots are once again holding back scientific progress...
