You solicit the "highest offer" for as many as fifteen (15) copies of a "semi exclusive script" that "will make a install from EVERY user that visits your site." You seek bids via email to [email protected] and ask that bidders include "credit card number, name and verification code." You also claim that you "have never posted anything fake on this board* [*or at least not fake to [your] knowledge at that time]."

Be advised that, if your offer to sell or distribute such a script is real, you likely are in violation of several criminal laws and subject to civil liability as well. Zango will not tolerate fraud and will utilize every legitimate means available to it to ensure that consumers are not harmed, that advertisers are not disadvantaged, that web publishers and content providers are able to participate in a fair marketplace, and that Zango's intellectual property is not infringed or damaged.

We have reported the thread referenced above to GFY Admin and will be forwarding a complaint to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

Instead of selling the scripts, maybe in return you should just give them away. I know this wont help you out, with all the effort you put inot writing these.
I dont think they can sue you for giving them out. Just another way to fuck Zango and not get screwed.
It amazes me how they are willing to cry wolf and want to sue, but could care less about their nefarious ways.

Don't worry, companies like that like to make up "fake" lawyers to send letters out to people. Had a previous client send me an email from his lawyer and the lawyer's email was hosted on his own domain. Not to mention that this client was a one man operation.

Wow that is the most ironic statement of the year. Zango wants to make sure that their affiliates have a fair market place to participate in? So noble of them to stand up for affiliates like that. Here is the funniest part about this for me:

Zango stands on a narrow strip of "no case law" regarding their software and the bidding for clicks based on domain names, and then they get after someone for attempting to market a spyware installation software.

Same logic about the gunseller not being responsible for murders commited witha gun they sold. If ebus doesn't actual use the software himself, there is little or nothing that Zango can do. It is the difference between revealing how to hack a computer and actually hacking it yourself.

If this is really from Zango, I would suggest that their legal people need to take another run though basic law, because they must have skipped a few days in there.

To be honest, I had NO idea that people would think the offer I made with the auto installs was real. Come on - I asked for credit-card number and verification code. The post about the auto installs was fake and only made to poke at those people I know uses tactics like that. Sadly they stayed out of the post :disgust

Second: The mail from Zango is very real indeed. As far as I have been able to dig, the only part of that mail that isn't real is the guys last name -or at least that is what my source tell me.
