My son turns 1 today!
 

I can't believe it's been 1 year ago today that he was first handed to me.... a tiny little baby boy... not even 8 pounds.

And now he's a big boy of 1 already and well over 30 pounds! He's now getting too big for 3 year old's clothing!

Cameron,

I am so proud of you. In one year, you have accomplished so much and continue to learn and grow every single day.
I sit here with a tear in my eye, trying to find just the right words to express my feelings towards you, towards the passed year... and there is just so much that I can't possibly put it into words, not without writing out enough to fill a text book.

Because of you, I too am turning 1 today. The day you were born, I was reborn. I have become an entirely different man than I once was and I thank you for that.
You are my world now. You mean everything to me. I can't picture my life without you... not now, not ever. You bring out the very best in me that I didn't even know was there.
I experience new things every day, I get the greatest joy from the simplest things and I take nothing for granted. Everything is to be enjoyed and learned from and I never would have known that without you.

As I teach you, you teach me. As you experience the world for the first time, as do I. Life was given to you one year ago, and 1 year ago, I didn't know what life was.

I can't tell you what the future will bring. I can't promise you any of the things I really would love to promise you, because I want to give you the world. But what I can give you, is everything that I am.
With that, combined with your innocence, your eagerness to learn... all the amazing things that you are already... I know that you will be a greater man than I. I will live my life through your eyes, as you live your life through mine.

I want you to know that I love you, I never stop thinking about you and I am eternally happy... because of you.
