Basically yes, he got fired from adult.com (although he'll say he quit) then he did some work for Jason and Alex and then kinda disappeared from the adult scene. His girlfriend makes a nice living as a real estate agent in Maui and he moved in with her and has been sponging off her for the last two years.

He's a bi polar manic depressive and takes lithium to remain stable. His girlfriend provides for him and gives him whatever toys he wants to keep him happy. He'll usually pop in here for a post rampage about once a month and thats usually the day after his lithium runs out. Once he gets more lithium he'll disappear back into the shadows for another month and the pattern will start over again.

His time has run its course ala alienq and his act no longer works. People who know his work respect his design skills, but most have lost all respect for his human skills.

Amp IMO is one of the best designers out there. Now that he isn't in adult anymore it would have to be Tylo who works for Mayor's Money

the reality is that he is that he is just some whacked out idiot, crying for help, who is lucky enough to be supported by a woman with no self esteem or self respect that tolerates his abuse and bullshit. i am sure any investigation into her past would reveal a continual pattern of abuse in her life followed by the typical pattern of abusive and dysfunctional relationships. remember... relationships are typically about needs and the symbiosis which occurs when each person finds a fulfillment of those needs in the relationship.... which, most of course, tend to confuse with "love"

GFY being what it is... is full of dysfunctional people who tend to rally behind and/or support other similar personalities. its typically the kids saying "amp is cool" and at the same time they are posting on gaming forums and elsewhere things like "anarchy is cool"
