Why do you think Twistys is so successful?
 

Im asking because I want to learn what makes a site successful so I can do it that way too.

Theyre rolling in dough yet there are 1,000,000,000 other "beautiful girls" sites out there to compete with. Why is Twistys doing so good while others go nowhere?

Do you think its the persistence of keeping going, or do you think its just the quality of it? The tour is very basic and clean but not fancy.

Yeah but in the beginning they just used mostly Matrix content that everyone else has access to. He even said in the beginning he was laughed at because he was using conent that everyone else was using.
And not every site that uses high res pics is doing as good as Twistys.

In part it's their galleries and the galleries of their affiliates. Easy to approve... Got their act together. It is appreciated when you have to review hundreds of galleries at a time.

Just a quality website that provides a quality product to members. You only have to take a look at the members area and their update schedule to understand why.

yes - shap and twistys were struggling until he hired Dean a few months ago

shap has posted many times on here that Twistys was a big success when he had zero exclusive content in it. if you have traffic - targeted - all you need is a solid site that delivers value - shap has gone beyond that now - he's ambitious and knowing him a bit i think he takes pride in the site and hiring Dean gives Twistys the ability to choose models and find some underexposed ones.

They have people sending them tons and tons of traffic. thats why.

Trial and error he has also paid his dues in the biz. He's been around a while..

Twisty is one of the few programs that puts out sites that get their full attention and care. In this business, the majority of people are still building sites like it's an assembly line and not building sites that they themselves would be fans of. There is something to be said for doing projects that you have an emotional attachment to and would be a member of yourself. Twisty, Duke, etc... the difference isn't empirically quantifiable but the amount of care that goes into sites by owners like these is shown in the end result.

So if you're looking for some formula of models or tour types or what videos to use you won't find it. My advice is to build a site that you love so much, you'd join it in a heartbeat. Then when other people with the same tastes as yours come along, they will likely join too.

If you want an edge, instead of facing established competition head on, listen to your own whingeing.

My most successful businesses began with me asking myself why the heck everyone does something a certain way (which irritated me) or why didn't they do such and such (something I wanted). It's not necessary to go out and discover a brand new niche, the way people in online porn often suggest: some small difference is often enough to set you apart.

Otherwise, take on board what Mark T wrote and always be your own most critical customer.

He had/has a good source of steady traffic, but the bottom line is that he gives the customers what they want.. Unlike most sites that update once a week or once a month, they update EVERY day with MULTIPLE sets of content.

And if you haven't seen the inside of their site, go ahead and compare that with the competition. They've geared it towards making it easy for the customer to get to what they want.

Pretty basic stuff that few can grasp.

They're on top of their shit content wise.

Talked to them about shooting content for them. Mind you we shoot a ton. But they just asked me about a model that is going to be Centerfold for August for Penthouse...not even out yet...she's amazing. And they want her...and they will probably get her.

They are good at scouting and knowing who's out there. You develop a nose for it.

When it comes to shooting girls for bjs and bg I would feel confident to say that I have that nose cause we shoot 20 to 25 scenes per week. But I have very little clue about the twisty's hotties...at least the ones who dont suck a dick.

If you are knee deep in it and network you get the the girls that everyone wants to see now.

Plus their photographers rock.

I agree 100% their memeber stay untill you pry the keyboard from their cold dead hands.... Rebills are insane but joins are tough, i guess thats the price you pay for over exposure.
