Bush is building the worlds largest embassy in IRAQ, wTf!?!.............

The Bush administration is building a half billion dollar embassy in downtown Baghdad on the banks of the Tigris. The "compound" will encompass over 104 acres of land and employ over eight thousand people when complete...

For whatever reason the construction crew working on the embassy is entirely from Kuwait...and the locals are pissed off that they are being ignored with such a huge construction project going up right in there own backyard without so much as a sniff of employment.

The walls are said to be fifteen feet thick and aside from the Great Wall of China it will also be visible with the naked eye from space. So the question is....what is Bush's real exit plan? Or is he saying that US troops will never leave the area and this embassy will be his stepping stone into regions further east....Iran possibly?

Iraq is a major strategic interest of the United States.

Thousands of our brave US soldiers have died liberating Iraq, and some economists estimate the cost of the Iraq war will be $1 trillion by the time it is done.

Why does it surprise you that we will continue to maintain a presence there via a prominent embassy?

Grapesoda 05-10-2006 07:11 PM

you can not see the great wall from space

It doesn't surprise me at all...I just question the real reasoning/significance for such a huge embassy...why not a standard size building? I thought you guys were there to liberate...not occupy.

Exit Plan? WTF is that...

With the right equipment you can see down someones clevage from space.

I saw it on 'Mythbusters" so it must be true :upsidedow

Diplomatic embassy with 8,000 people? LOL Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what that compound is really doing.

Perfect location when you think about. Smack in the middle of all the terrorists nests.

..well, are YOU on drugs? How could you possibly see it from space? It's not *WIDE*, it might be long as hell..but it's not even as wide as a creek down the road...and I don't see that from space. Use your common sense people, if it reads somewhere it doesn't mean it's true.

...madawgz, are you sure you're 18 yet btw? You post the darndest things.
--and not only on this thread, your posts overall seem to give an impression that you're pretty ignorant and don't know much of anything. Not bashing or anything, but you could try to think a moment before each post. What's more important to you, to have a big post count, or less posts with some worthwhile content.

...wait, don't answer that.

what about google earth? those are satellite images, you can see it from there

Jakke PNG 05-11-2006 01:24 PM

Yeah, I can read over my nextdoor neighbors shoulder with binoculars, doesn't mean I can with my naked eye. Interestingly enough, I can also see the cars parked infront of my house with google earth, I wonder if I can see them from space without any visual aids.

Are you really this dumb, or are you just fucking around. I'm pretty worried you're not fucking around.
