Ok I sketched out 2 girls the other night, the first one of which I already showed you. After the encouraging response from you guys I was compelled to finish the second one...

Stage 1 & 2 - Rough pencil sketch and scan / pen tool trace

The entire process from sketch to final can take anywhere from 4 to 10 hours depending on how complex it is. Once its scanned I do the whole thing Photoshop (airbrush incl.)...
