minte you did a great mistake...

i know i will get a lot of hate because of this thread but i know what im talking about. i hope you will get lucky with it but im afraid you wont. first thing to appear will be the water in the backlight... but maybe im not right and you wont have any problems |
bump for the cause

i agree, he should have bought a Fiat Uno instead....

maybe the fiat would have less flaws |
here is some website to back up gangbangjoes opinion and warnings.
the website is about the company lamborghini and the quality of its cars but especially point 10 and 11 are related to a gallardo i personally know of very well. so check out those two points. www.lambounfall.de |

you see minte.... thats what im talking about |

yes i read it and i was a great lamborghini fan before i got to know them in detail. you wont notice the mistakes at the beginning but they will come. no car dealer would tell you abot the problems with the car. and a private person wont either.. but maybe all the lambos i know were the only ones with flaws. like i said before : i hope your car hasnt got any flaws and you like it. acceleratin and design are excellent. but i deleted them from my list of top-cars |
shit sucks i wanted to get me one of these. now ill just buy an old 'Vette and put the balance of the money under the hood :thumbsup
|
omg get the hell over it lol.

I am an m.e. with over 20 years of manufacturing experience #1..carbon steel is supposed to rust. The grade of the alloy, whether it's a grade 1-5 has nothing to do with rust. It's the amount or carbon in it that makes steel stronger or harder. You have to test the fastener with a rockwell or brinell test to determine whether the alloy used was that which was specified by the design engineer. Engines that are run without oil will seize.Rings and valves will warp. There is a certain amount of responsibility the owner has to a vehicle.Checking the oil and tire pressure are a few of them. Water in the tailight is not a big issue. If the trunk needs adjustment,it's a simple screwdriver fix.If the trunk gasket is faulty it is also a simple fix.If the local dealer is bad, that clearly is an issue. It doesn't mean that the manufacturer is at fault. |

Problems are known at every automobile manufacturer. They have all had recalls.I just got my 2003 BMW M3 back a major Rod Bearing Recall.. They repaired the problem.gave me a loaner for a few days and I was back on the road.It doesn't make BMW a bad company. |
Quote:
but bmw produces 100 000 of m3s lambo produces about 1000 of this car.... |

And it was just a few years ago that a spaceshuttle blew up because of a faulty O-ring design. The amount of product manufactured doesn't change the fact that engineering flaws will require an occasional modification. |
Another case in point
Mercedes Benz is aware of premature failure of the brake pads of the ML series.Yet just a few months ago, they charged me over $500. to replace them at 28k miles. I had to replace the hydraulic slave cylinder on my Porsche twin turbo last year at 30k miles.Porsche did not stand behind it.It cost me over $1,500 to replace.I still think Porsche is the best engineered car on the road. |

yes but if a car costs about 180k you should have a secure feeling while driving it dont have to think about all the problems and weird sounds... ? correct me if im wrong |
Quote:
you don't even know Fiat now do you? :winkwink: |
You make it sound like if the word "recall" is unheard to other car makers...
Shit look at Merc.... Even Toyota had some recalls this year... give it a rest... |
Quote:
but you gotta see the relation between cost/produced cars and the recalled cars. if you produce 300 cars for 100k euros and 150 have to be recalled it means that half of the cars are not worth the money and if you produce 50000 cars for 20k euros and 15000 have to be recalled its not that big deal. and if you buy a car for 150k and in germany there are about 20 lamborghini murcielagos on the roads and you know three cars that have so many flaws you gotta ask yourself Quote:
i know fiat very well. but i will give it a rest now. this thread was never meant to flame minte for buying a gallardo. i can understand why he bought such a car. its a beautiful car with a great engine. but you gotta do your own experience. and i just wanted to tell minte what my ( and many other lambo owners) experience is. it was just meant as a reminder |
Quote:
I've heard more horror stories about hand-built cars having problems than manufactured cars. Funny thing (well, not really funny) is speed always seems to be mentioned but the drivers never seem to feel it was a factor. It would be nice to think that because you paid a mint for your house that you won't get drywall nailpops and other various problems that a person who spent $100,000 on their house gets, but you will. |
Quote:
I actualy think its better (except for using the Audi interiors lol), that Lambo is owned by VAG nowadays to be honest :2 cents: Anyway its not a matter of how much the car costs that dictates the problem it may or not have ;) (when talking about premium brands tho) cheers |
Thanks for the heads up. I was seriously considering buying one of those cars, until I saw this thread. So I just put the money in a toilet & flushed.

you = broke :thumbsup |
that's what they call 'sour grapes' I believe
|
Quote:
you are talking about the flaws in the cars? |
why would you spend so much money on something that looses half it's value coming out of the garage?

Sounds Like a Lot of jealousy in this thread.
Why the hell would you call someone into a thread to tell them what may happen to their new car? Good Luck Minte thats one hell of a car! |
