Players Ball London - November 20th 2005
 

Ok we are in talks with D-Money with regard to bringing the Players Ball out to London.

We would get in Paul Oakenfold and Sasha as the main acts plus have pornstars galore, Sylvia Saint, Michelle Thorne, Jo Guest and many more present. It would be on the last day of Erotica

Who would be up for it? It would be at a central London venue of 1000 capacity.

If people are up for it then we will do this with D-Money and bring the legend that is the Players Ball to London Town.

This will be a party that is 80% surfers and 20% industry. Industry will have a separate area at the top of the venue with tables and a meal.

I can easily pack this with surfer I am just wondering if webmasters would be interested in attending?

It's a great excuse for me to make a trip to London.

The date sucks for those of us in the US. I would suggest that you consider planning this around the same time as the Amsterdam show since many US webmasters will be present for that. :2 cents:

Shit the 20th is the Saturday that Erotica ends. My ex business partner can get Sasha and Paul Oakenfold for that date. We can also have Jeremy Healy and Danny Rampling. All of them are free at the Clapham Grand. The owner of the grand is with me and all I have to do is drop in a proposal to his girl on the bookings and we have it.

Personally I say lets do it or it will be never done.

If anyone has flight problems I will pay for 20 peoples flights from Amsterdam to London. Plus you can stay in my favourite hotel free.

The main reason this date was chosen was because it is the end date for Erotica.

Right Paul Oakenfold is now at my house at 5 in the morning and he is confirmed. He only lives half a mile from me. Sasha is on the phone and he is as good as confirmed. The venue should be sorted by tomorrow. I have known Sasha and Paul for over 15 years. Darren wants a hip hop act as well. He says he can get 50 for £250k. I am thinking about wasting some money and paying for him. I know I wont make it back, but I am hyped here!

The guy that owns the venue says it is cool and he is with us but he doesnt have the book with the dates when it is booked on him.

I think you should pay for 50. Trust me, with that lineup, there would be no problem getting 500 webmasters to come and see a truly epic Players Ball. Just get us Americans a deal on the hotel, airfare is cheap, plus I got miles to use.

I am going to think about the 50 thing tomorrow. I can do £250 ($500K) on either 50 or 100 gfy webmasters but I need to talk to my business partner first. The 20 people from Europe is a definite though as I will do that from my own pocket.

I hear ya. I've been lucky enough to be a part of these players balls for over 5 years. There have been some kick ass shows. I can't imagine how crazy it would be with killer DJ's and 50. I guess I'm just excited about the idea. I'm sure we can raise some sponsorship money to bring in a huge hip hop artist.
