OMG! I found the rims which were STOLEN from me!
 

I dont know if any of you remember how a couple months ago I found my car up on blocks when I went out at 6.20am and my $2500 per set rims were stolen off my car.

Well, TODAY, JUST NOW, im driving home and I pass this ford expedition an im like whoa.. looks like my rims so i make a u-turn and i check and its not them, so im like bah.. and i drive down the street not more than 3-4 houses down, im about to swerve onto the left lane so i can get to a shallow part of a drainage ditch thing so its easier on my car and this douchebag is parked against the curb right before it on the left side of the road and i think to myself "bah what a douchebag blocking the shallow part to drive thru", so im right next to him as im trying to get into the shallow part or whatever, and WHAT DO I SEE...

MY RIMS, im like WTF those look like mine, so i take a left into the street, and make a u-turn and i go back up next to the car.. i check the rims, YUP theyre mine, I check the tires, YUP, theyre my ES100 Yokahama's, I check my rims (AT Italia 18"s) for the waterspots which I had needed to have claybarred out before they got stolen, YUP, still there!

So WTF should I do?

I am POSITIVE these are my rims, theyre on a ATMOST $800 old ass Nissan Maxima which doesnt even have plates, just those number stickers (its a number 4) in the back window...

IM POSITIVE those are my rims, that matching of tire/rim and the waterspots and also something else, and the fact that theyre in the same neighborhood and on a ghetto car.


What should I do? I had my gf with me in the car otherwise I would be out there right now staking it out and seeing who got in.

Theres no use in calling the police (yes a report was filed when they were stolen) but RIMS and TIRES dont have serial numbers to put on file to correlate.

Steal them back.

Do you have the original receipt for the rim and tires? You said a report was filed. If you have something to prove they were yours you should be good to go with calling the police. The police arent stupid.. they will see its on a shitty car and have a pretty good idea they were stolen. If the person that has them now can't provide documentation that they bought the rims you may get them back. I would call the police now before they vanish again.

I'm telling you man, ring a few friends.. go down there and steal them back.

I know you are livid. I'd still call the cops, maybe they can check with the owner to see if he can produce proof of ownership or something. Especially since they have the waterspots on them...I hope you mentioned those when you filed the police report.

i would really steal them back, seriously. U should follow it and look where the muthafucker lives. Then on a beautiful night u just get em back man, at like 3-4 in the morning between working days so everyones asleep in the street. Plus, because it costs you time and time is money, i'd go back to his car after a couple of weeks or so to jack his car radio too or something, for expenses.

When the cops go and ask him, if they dont get the wheels back he will know you're onto him and you wont be seeing that car around anymore.

edit: also when ever you buy expensive rims like that you should really get key locked lug nuts where it takes a special pin to get them off, no one will them off unless they have a torqe wrench

I haven't seen any type of lock that couldn't be taken off. When you buy shit that expensive you can have a number or name put on them so that you can identifiy them later.
