I hated my tape drive, it took what seemed like forever for my computer to find what it needed. Fuck sequential access data, random access is the shit. I don't miss tape drives at all. I'm glad they're practically extinct, I can't wait until they're totally extinct.

I had one of these babies. :) Texas Instruments Ti 99 with the processor built right into the keyboard. I remember the big ass book they sent out with the thing. My pops would spend 8 or 10 hours writing a code from the book just to see some ball or blip on the screen change random colors.

Monique Niccole 01-03-2005 06:39 AM

That brings back memories. I got one of those for Christmas when I was about 7. I remember my mom not wanting me to have it, but my Dad insisted on buying it for me. And now look what happened :1orglaugh

Ahhh all the classic computers, I was playing with my four year old nephew's Robosapien, and thinking back to the good old days of robots, remember this?

http://www.robotswanted.com/robotgallery/heathkit/

I should also mention that I was terrorizing my nephew's miniature daschund with the Robosapien and later in the night the daschund viciously attacked the Robosapien, nice to see he can fight someone his own size. :1orglaugh

crockett 01-03-2005 07:43 AM
