no no mr confused.

5 sign-ups for a program, not total. I want to hear from sponsors and affiliate owners. don't know if that applies to you

Well a good percentage of our webmasters don't even send decent amount of traffic... hence no sales. I think there's a lot of people who just sign-up for an affiliate program to see what they have and don't promote.

We make more then 5 sign-ups per day.

James White 05-16-2004 04:32 AM

I think i understand why hes asking. I'm curious also to see how many webmasters actually bring in 5+ sales a month and how many actually have accounts and don't do jack with them.

I concur, most sign up to sign up, kinda how like most surfers like to just download useless crap off the net for no apparent reason, just to download:Hollering

johndoebob 05-16-2004 04:37 AM

Good percentage sending no traffic or making no real sales, lots of small webmasters with 1-10 a month and after that the big ones which are a small percent. It's all about getting as much small ones as possible and hope they'll get bigger within a few months cause they like your program. :2 cents:

yes, I'm thinking it's a very small pool of WM who brings in the bulk of the sales.

I have some contests in mind but I want webmasters to get sign-ups for the sponsor to be able to win the prizes. so I'm looking for a cut off where webmasters will say to themselves,"I can get 5 sign-ups for them this month...no problem"

spooky181 05-16-2004 05:00 AM

I have around 50 webmasters using my program but only a handful are sending much traffic. I would probably have 5 that do 10 to 20 a month, a couple that do over 20 and the rest 1 or 2 with limited traffic.:)

now with the big sponsors out there, how many webmasters a month get you at least 1 sign-up?

Corleone 05-16-2004 05:11 AM

SquirtingCarly 05-16-2004 07:30 AM

Most of my affiliates have been with me for less than a month. I have one that has 4 for this month already, and several others who are close.

KRL 05-16-2004 07:30 AM

Out of about 300 webmasters.

5 - 10 make most of the sales.

30 or so consistent every month.

The rest are a little here and there.

About 5 to10% of your base I'd say is the norm.

I can't tell you how many programs I have signed up for and never promoted because what they claimed to have they didn't. If it's "coming soon" say so in the pitch... don't make people sign up only to find out "all the marketing tools you need for your success" turns out to be a couple of banners and a page dated last year listing stuff you might get around to adding some day.

Rule of thumb...

10% of your webmasters make 90% of affiliate sales.

Good point. Also lots of people sign up for programs, give it a week or two to perform and then toss it if they don't see the results they're expecting.

justsexxx 05-16-2004 07:48 AM

Well I'm not going ti give you eaxct numbers. But many of our webmasters make more then 5 sales a month...Of course like every program, we have also webmasters who are not active...

But we do a nice amount of signups a day with our webmasters. And we are very thankful for that :)

Andre

collegeclam 05-16-2004 07:51 AM

my goal is 1 per day. but, i usually get about 20 signups (full sales) per month, and maybe 20-30 signups on various free porn sites that only require an email address. those ones pay like shit, but you gotta capitalize somehow off of the people who arent going to pay.

off topic, but kinda related since traffic=bling:

i need to start advertising....if you have good traffic and ad space, feel free to email me and offer some. collegeclams AT yahoo. id do a link exchange too, but my traffic for twelvefifteen.com is only 4-5k per day.

When they send at least 5 signups a month they are likely to be labeled "active"..so you can rephrase the question to "what % of webmaster affiliates promotes your program actively"

I've signed up to plenty of programs wich i haven't promoted yet since i couldn't find the time for it :2 cents:

jaYMan 05-16-2004 08:41 AM

90% of our signups come from 15% of our webmasters base.
