Remember My Anxiety Attack? Well HOLY SHIT, I just got the Damage Report!!! (pic)
For those of you that remember, I had an anxiety attack a couple months back and got a lot of support from some folks here. Well I got the bill today and it's enough to cause another attack!!! $1608.00 fucking dollars!!!
I saw a nurse for 30 minutes, Spoke to a doctor for 5 minutes, and they gave me a 100mg Xanax to calm me down! HOLY SHIT!!! Healthcare in America is getting out of control!!! http://www.acidflyers.com/tv/bill.jpg |
Thats highway robbery
Don't pay it. What are they going to do send a collection agency? |

I got one of those a few years ago, I just called them and told them I could only afford 10 bucks a month, they said no problem, I set it up online checking for 10 bucks a month and paid them off. in a few years

:feels-hot

if u don't have insurance, offer them a cash settlement ~25%
c if they take, i did that and it worked |
LOL, one of the main reasons I got into the healthcare industry.
:Graucho |
It's to the point you can't afford to get sick anymore..
I pay $282 a month for health insurance.. |
To add insult to injury, they also sent me a seperate invoice for $13 for the Xanax!!! :321GFY
|
Mother Fuckers!
|
What kind of tests did they run ? My last trip took me for about $3,000
|
A bit off topic but doesnt it totally frustrate you that your government is blowing billions on a useless war on the other side of the world and you have to pay these amounts when you get sick in your own country as a tax payer?
|
That's one of the ups about Canada. We don't get anythingl ike that... although there are still those that'll abuse the system :BangBang:
|
wow sux 2 be u!:(
|
Wow that sucks... Damn i am glad i have insurance. Now i know why i keep the wife around :)
|
medical care is so expensive. you gotta have health insurance or you're fucked.
|
Wow I would hate to see the bill if they would have admitted you overnight. It would prob be 10 times that much.

The bill for the socks were $38.00 wtf? the pharmacy bill was 10k No wonder Insurance premiums are so high! |

Once sick - in debts for life :helpme
"We do it because we like people,we do it because we want to help people" never seen a doc like that,I wouldn't even go to hospital if my life depends on that. Those motherfuckers will never make money off me :thumbsup :321GFY |
You should send them a letter asing them to "forgive" you of the bill. You have to use the word forgive, they get so much $$ to hahahahaha off.
I know this because my Stepdad is the director of the VA hospital. :thumbsup |
Living in Canada totally has its ups and downs..One of the BIGGEST ups is our kick ass healthcare system. Sorry to hear about that bill babes. Hope your feeling better though!
|
Why do you think so many people are going to Pre-Med?
The medical field pays well... Real well. |

pfft. That's nothing. I pay $950/mo for Blue Cross Blue Shield for insurance for myself, wife and baby. On top of that we pay 50% on prescriptions and have at least a 20% copay. Cry me a river!

They also did something else. They asked me if I were the sole support of my family, so I said yes. They reduced my bill from 15G's to two and I paid them 50 dollars a month until it was bye bye. Call Social Services at the hospital. They should be able to help you. |
According to U.S. Government Statistics:*
- The average national cost of a hospital stay in 2001 was $3,252 per day; - The average national cost of an appendectomy in 2001 was $14,225; and - Fixing a child's broken arm in 2000 cost an average of $8,091. |
