First big thing you bought?

What was the first big thing that you bought with your money? For me it was my Escalade right after I turned 21. Hopefully it will be a new house soon.

Guitars and amps mostly when I was living at home....

Then I bought house #1 at 24 and a new Thunderbird LX, at 28 I bought house #2 and 2 new trucks....

Now at 31 I'd really like to get another monitor.

NakedBo 04-19-2004 01:28 PM

The first big thing I bought was a house, that was september last year. Two weeks after I bought it ,my downstair neighbor set his house on fire. So now I get to built a brand new house..:(

whats considered big?

Back in 98, I bought a house, corvette, and dirtbike... all in the same day. Was a small house though, and a 1 year old vette. But the dirtbike was new :)

Hell, doesn't even have to be big really. Just something you were happy getting.

Must be nice...

How much is one of those? Does it have an engine for when the wind isnt blowing?

I'm afraid that if I bought something like that, I couldnt afford the time off to enjoy it.

media 04-19-2004 01:39 PM

I was making $50 a day at age 9, first thing I bought was a skateboard, then bikes, and other useless shit.. Wish I would have been an overly thrifty kid and saved it all... I'd have alot of money in the bank by now...

At least I learned and have money in the bank now...

sake 04-19-2004 01:40 PM

i want one of those.. in europe a 10-meter boat like that is not more than 50k euros.

ok then, the dirtbike would be it. Was a brand new Kawasaki KX125, cost me $5300 out the door. I loved that bike, had great times with it.

Yeah, but now I get to learn how to build a house in a very thight budget, so thats a good learning experiance.

And when it's build up again, I will make a lot of money when I sell it, cause then it's worth more that it was before it burned down.
