Lightspeed introduces new "Gallery Revshare Program"
 

We are excited to announce a new plan designed to help all our gallery makers and tgp webmasters more money with Lightspeedcash! It's called the "Gallery Revshare Program" and here's how it works:

1) The gallery maker submits a Lightspeed gallery to us.

2) We move/convert the gallery to our hosted galleries program.

3) Any webmaster can use this gallery on their tgps, and we will add it to our barely19 hosted tgl.

4) For every join the gallery generates, the designer will be paid either a commission or a flat rate payout (their choice) to be paid monthly.

We think this is a great incentive for gallery makers to give us their best work, and a chance for everyone to recycle their older galleries and squeeze some more cash from them!

Thats a great idea. Bringing the "build your own tour" (BYOT) to galleries. Great way for designers to bring new galleries forward. Build your own gallery, love the concept steve.

I'll bet you'll get a ton of designers willing to make galleries for that, the potential payout promoting lightspeed in that mannor could be ENORMOUS

Wish I was a designer :(

This is great.. I've made a lot of LS galleries but they're hard to get listed because the content is so overused.

I asked Louisa about purchasing some content to promote your sites with (ie: with only the rights to use it to promote LS sites with) and she said you guys won't do that.

So this sounds like a great way to get LS galleries listed.

Do we need to be designers in order test it? You need some *simple* galleries too?

What about content licenses? Are we only to use provided ls content, you'll get the license for sets we use, we transfer the license to you, ..., ... , ... ?

VERY GOOD IDEA Mr. Lightspeed. I think that gallery builders would be nuts to not take you up on this.

It's a great idea, but you need to setup hard rules and review each gal manually, else the good hosted gals will be mixed with crap ones that we won't want to add to our tgps and all will be a mess.

Of course we plan to accept quality galleries only, and possibly set limits on clickthrough/sales ratios for the gallery to remain in the program? Still need to work out some details, that's why i'm looking for beta testers.

isnt it about time you guys get some hosted movie galls ?

what about people who gonna copy the hosted galleries and host it on their own servers therfor stealing the money of the gallery makers?

Its in the works, we have a new production assistant starting tomorrow to focus exclusively on movie clips. We have over 1000 hours of video in our content archive, and we're finally gonna start tapping it now.
