If you could visit one of these countries...

For 6 months to a year. An extended visit/vacation sort of like a get away. Which would you pick and MOST importantly- WHY?

soccermom 02-07-2004 10:00 PM

Costa Rica - add it to that list. I`d be there for a number of reasons. Mostly just the different world, that I need, away from this insanity I live in.

Brad Xtremepay 02-07-2004 10:03 PM

These are moreso just countries I want to visit.
I know a lot of people here have the same taste as me when it comes to where to go... so I was looking for a few unofficial word of the best places to visit in my list ;)

Basic_man 02-07-2004 10:06 PM

FRANCE, PARIS!! :glugglug

Ic3m4nZ 02-07-2004 10:08 PM

Australia first looks like a nice place

RP Fade 02-07-2004 10:09 PM

Australia for sure..the only continent I have not been to

SureFire 02-07-2004 10:12 PM

None in the poll.

Spain or Greece :)

Brad Xtremepay 02-07-2004 10:30 PM

Spain is nice... Greece is nice. But just don't tickle my fancy.

BRISK 02-07-2004 10:33 PM

Norway and Denmark, but no love for the Sweden?

Ic3m4nZ 02-07-2004 10:35 PM

J'irais en France aussi.

ozmatt 02-07-2004 10:36 PM

come check out australia, we have a bit of everything. Plenty to do and see and the weather and girls are nice:thumbsup

TweetyBird 02-07-2004 10:37 PM

From my point of view, there are so many places that are looking more attractive than France :winkwink:

hershie 02-07-2004 10:38 PM

I would go somewhere "different" or unusual from where you are from. Thus not Australia or Europe.

I'm not the type of person to like TOO much change. I mean hell I just started trying different types of food. By different I mean not ordering a hamburger at an expensive resturaunt.

I like our type of culture and differing from it TOO much would be too much for me.

SKULL 02-07-2004 10:43 PM

I lived in Germany for two years and visited all over Europe... so my vote goes to Japan

I wouldn't go to Japan then. Very few people speak english in Japan.

I took japanese for 3 years in highscool so I have the foundation skills of speech, and I am still able to write hirigana and katakana.
Japan is all good :)

I agree. :thumbsup Although I voted for Australia.

It has the best climate, out of those, and The Great Coral Reef.

Australia has the most suitable environment, for me, compared to the others.

Japan would be second!! :winkwink:

Brad Xtremepay 02-07-2004 11:51 PM

Australia is a hot topic.. cool. Easy to get into the country too.

Morgan 02-07-2004 11:55 PM

I vote Japan. very ahead of the times. Unless you're already in the US, the rest is behind the times.... (which is cool n shit for history's sake). but im into robots and taxi's with automatic opening doors n shit.

jennycards 02-08-2004 12:03 AM

I voted for Australia ... never been there & it's a huge country where you need a lot of time to see everything.

Japan. Girls.

Ahhh, I've got the only asian girl I would ever that lives in vancouver ;)

Paul Markham 02-08-2004 12:52 AM

None of them, been to most and no desire to go to the others.

But if I had to choose I suppose it would be Japan and I had to think hard about that.

Put up another list. :1orglaugh

GrimJim 02-08-2004 01:28 AM

Japan or bust!

Shoehorn! 02-08-2004 01:32 AM

Russia seems cool. I don't know about being there long term, but it would be cool for a couple weeks or so. To live for 6 months to a year Australia or Germany seem good.

dunefield 02-08-2004 01:41 AM

I'm from Australia so i chose Japan...

VideoJ 02-08-2004 01:47 AM

I'm thinking about doing that too, so I've picked Europe this time. Spain for the weather, Czech for the girls and UK for the language :glugglug

If you do Australia, do New Zealand as well. lot's to see and do, much smaller so it's easier to get around and very friendly people.

I'd also think about Brazil and the carribean.

alan-l 02-08-2004 01:50 AM

Japan. I was there for 2 days and promised myself I'd go again with more time. Hopefully this year :thumbsup

I'd add Hawaii as well and some South America

Manowar 02-08-2004 01:52 AM

I want to go to Canada for a while, seeing as i live in england

Lykos 02-08-2004 02:47 AM

Australia definitly:thumbsup

Kicker 02-08-2004 02:57 AM

1) Australia

2) Japan

are u talking about me again ? :Graucho

sexsup 02-08-2004 03:19 AM

Russia of course, hot girls, cheap place, a lot of biz opportunities.

sacX 02-08-2004 03:29 AM

I chose Germany. I spend the summer in New Zealand and then move to europe for their summer.

Berlin is pretty cheap compared to the rest of europe and there's a lot happening. It's also pretty central so makes travelling around the rest of Europe easy.

Theo 02-08-2004 03:33 AM

6months is long period....i guess i would pick Australia due to warm weather.

Since you know japanese it would be easier for you than most of us.

born4porn 02-08-2004 03:54 AM

Australia, friendly and diverse :thumbsup

Marcus 02-08-2004 04:01 AM

Italy.
Not in the poll but it's close to all of them.
I'd go for the food, the architecture and the history. I've always wanted to see the coliseum and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

Cash4Joins 02-08-2004 04:10 AM

France, seems like a nice place to go
