Donate to a worthy cause.

As previously posted in another thread:

"As some of you know Loryn is a major animal lover and does alot to contribute to the local agencies and groups that help feed, house and in other ways provide care for neglected and abused pets.

So in that spirit I think this is what she would like to see GFY give her for her birthday:

Donations that she will then use support those groups. Shell be buying food, bedding and other items that she'll then take and distribute as needed in her community.

Her paypal address is: [email protected]"

Loryn has told me that she will be keeping a list of donations and posting thank you messages as well as pics of the stuff that is bought for the animals AND pics of the animals themselves.

I kicked $250 her way for the cause...Anything you can send in is helpful.

Animals? Are you kidding? How about doing something for starving kids or homeless people... get real.

Dirty F 01-29-2004 06:57 PM

We all know what happened with the last donation case right?

Hey if everyone though like that no animals would ever get anything. Please. They need love too.

SleazyDream 01-29-2004 06:59 PM

money send - please make sure it's for dogs and not cats. i love dogs

Fluid of Fuck Me 01-29-2004 07:00 PM

Nice gesture
If I wasn't broke paying taxes dentists, visa and processing fees I'd throw some cash to it. I'll likely donate some to the local animal hospital later this year..they have a fund for stray animals that have been hit.

Sorry, if I saw a starving dog and a starving man on the street, I would not feed the dog.

boneprone 01-29-2004 07:02 PM

On another note, Ill be heading back to my motherland of China next month, and if youd like to donate and feed me rather than than donate to feed the critters I plan to eat while Im there feel free to contact me.

Dog can be expensive at some of the Finer establishments Like Ruth Chan's Dog House and ElGookos Dog Grill in Hong Kong.

JSA Matt 01-29-2004 07:03 PM

thank you for proving my point Boneprone. Loryn, i'm not trying to put you down for what you are doing, I just think you should focus your efforts to a more worthy cause.

sickkittens 01-29-2004 07:03 PM

Something tells me she'll get alot of money. I rescue animals but I don't think I could go to a forum and ask for $.

Then again, I rescue small animals and most people don't care. :2 cents:

Im not proving your point.

No one is more against animal cruelty than I..

I have a dog and two cats and love them dearly.. And I strongly believe that organizations should be in place to help encourage, protect and enforce animal cruetly laws and humane programs for todays pets..

There is a cruel way to slauter a Chineese dog, and there is a humane way..

I say it is important that the more humane groups in China are encouraged over the inhumane.. And in my opion money talks..

Kids and homeless people already have more charities for them than animals do and homeless people had a choice in most cases.

If you have me on ignore then why do you constantly read my threads as well as reply to them?

Wether you were trying to or not, you did prove my point. There are TONS of organizations out there that help animals, GFY is not one of them. It was a simple question, why not focus your effors to a WORTHY cause such as starving children or the homeless?

Well I haven't had a dog in a long time, want one really bad, but I was just going to buy whatever they had there. A little of everything. I was thinking about calling them first and finding out what they are low on and need badly.

Is that a specific type of bone that is better for them?

tiramos 01-29-2004 07:12 PM

I hope you good luck with your endevours!:thumbsup

boneprone 01-29-2004 07:12 PM

Aaron shouldnt play innocent....

If I recall correctly when we went to Thailand 2 years ago, we were doing Oyster shooters, and anyone care to guess what type of meat we tried that night?

But before this gets out of hand, you people need to realize there is a huge difference between the dogs we eat and the dogs we have as pets..

Much as to there is a huge difference between the Cows 1 billon Hindus consider Holly or as a God and that of your Typical McDonalds Hamburger..

There is a difference..

What I eat and many of my people eat are quite different than that pet we all know and love in our home.

Similarly Ive never seen a Hindu give prayers to Happy Meal.

It's a good bone. I asked b/c I know someone who can possibly get a deal. I'm not sure how many you are looking to buy?

Is this just something your doing w/ the money you get here or do you do this often?

I am not racist and I understand it's your culture, but you are in my culture and we do not like that. We see the loyalty and love in dogs. If you want to start a thread about people locking them up and hurting them, do it in your own thread not in a thread about me helping animals. Have some etiquette.

GEESH you expect me to respect your culture, but you can?t even respect mine, the one you are standing in right now!!! :(

boneprone 01-29-2004 07:19 PM

Anyhow Ill donate..

Like I said there is a difference.

Here in America the humane treatment of animals should be an example of the rest of the world to follow.

Believe it or not, America is a "civilized" society.

Its only a matter of time before China is one of the Axis of Evil anyhow and hate crimes will be enacted upon me for my slanted eyes..

Ill keep the recipt handy to prove my loyalty to this country's values..

Bless us all.
